Broken
I got the game console and found out I couldn't play this thing at all. Apparently, the connection port for the RF cable was broken and instantly came off. Honestly, I don't even know if it receives power or not because I can't get it to work. At least I own a piece of Nintendo history, but it's a shame I can't play any games on it until I can replace it with a working model.

Very happy customer
Very pleased with how the system was shipped. Everything was bubble wrapped, in fact the system was double wrapped. The cords were either zip tied or twist tied which made unpacking easy. Certain cords and plugs were individually bagged which also made unpacking easy. Seller communicated with me to let me know when the product was shipped which was great! Everything works as advertised

Do not purchase
I only gave it 1 star because I had to. This didn’t work, though it is returnable, I would have to pay twice as much to ship it back than I did for the item.

The color red and white
I like the color of the system the red and white and the video games are old school games what I dslike about the system is the remote controllers they are built into the system you have to take the system apart to replace them or fix them other than that I am happy with the Nintendo famicom.

Great system, but the AV version is better
For starters, this is Nintendo's first home console (not counting the Color TV Game), so some flaws can be ignored. The library for this game system is what made Nintendo the center of gaming and brought home videogames to families in any house. With great game series's like Megaman, Mario, Akumanjo Dracula, and Bomberman, you can't go wrong. The earlier games usually involved 1 screen of gameplay, complete the level, and get a different screen. The shooting games were all scrolling shooters in airplanes etc. Later, games became more complex with platforming games involving vertical and horizontal scrolling like in Super Mario 3. Games like Zelda were a new thing by entering caves and dungeons and being able to return to any part of any map. The Famicom was a pioneer of gaming. The fun factor of these things are very high because you have over 700 games to choose from.As for this system itself, it has good parts and bad parts.Good:1. Very unique look from any other system most have hooked up to their TV compared to NES, XBOX, Gamecube, SEGA, whatever. They were all usually one color and were always black or gray. This one is supposed to be white and red. Many of them have turned yellow and red over time. The controllers themselves look pretty cool and fit the rest of the system. This system also looks better on the Famicom Disk System compared to the Famicom AV which shared the USA color pattern.2. Better library of games compared to SEGA Master System and Atari.3. The only system for the time to have a complete controller which included a start button not on the system.4. Player 2 has a microphone that if you speak into it, you can hear yourself through the TV. It also does wonders in Zelda against Poll's Voices by killing them in 1 hit.Bad:1. The major problem with this system is that the controllers are integrated and there is no way to replace them. The cords are WAY too short (about 2 feet).2. Very unfriendly when it comes to hooking it up to a USA TV.3. The eject button is a joke. Just pull the games out by hand. You slide the eject button to force games out which damages the corners of the games and they come out very hard.Instructions on how to hook it up to a USA TV:1. Set Famicom to CH 1.2. Set Famicom to GAME.3. Using a NES/SNES RF connector, hook it up to the coaxial port on your TV or VCR.4. Set TV to CH 95.This game system works on most CRT TVs and all digital flat screen TV's including plasma, LED, and LCD TVs.Overall, a great system, but the AV version is far better in that it is easier to hook up to any TV and has removable controllers.

Everything but the cords
The famicon I received was in okay condition (which is fine to me) but it did not come with a powercord or av cords.
