Steams and bakes well but be aware no instruction book is supplied
Arrived damaged (see pics) damaged front foot and cracked hinge stopping removal of water tray . Returns process to the company was all to much to organise so I decided to live with the crack and repair the foot . Its not right but at least it now is useable with some fiddling to get the water tray in and out.I did originally provide a lower star rating but on reflection it was a DHL issue with them handling the package as the company had added additional protection to the package and done their best to protect the contents. The box damage was only visible once it had been unpacked and looked like it had been dropped on one corner - not the suppliers issueThere is no manual and the link to the online version does provide a little information but only very basic, it doesn't even elaborate on the different methods of cooking and whether convection functions have a steam component. Having done some additional research I understand that this is normal with this manufacturer. The steam option is very good putting out loads of steam (the oven is full of "dry steam" which vents via a square tube on the front left of the oven) . If you don't put the device on then the steam vents forward from the oven there is a vent tube supplied to fit on the bottom left side under the door to direct the steam upwards but no instructions so was a trial and error find. The grill steam function is good for bread but you need to move the baking tray to the lowest level and turn down the temperature by 20-30 deg C. Bread cooking time was about 2/3 normal but produced excellent resultsThese steam options do use quite a lot of water and I would say the water reservoir would last for an hour or so . There is a water collection tray under the oven which need to be emptied every 30-40 mins on steam mode any longer and you would be likely to spill the contents. There are 2 sets of heating elements ( top and bottom) which don't look to strong ( just a superstition) at the rear there e is a fan and heater for the convection function which works well and quietly . The inside is stainless steel which looks very serviceable .Bread proving settings provide a steam filled proving chamber at 40 deg C that did a really good job based on leaving doe uncovered for 40 minsShelving is OK there is quite a solid roasting type tray and quite a flimsy looking wire wrack - we had similar sized ones from and old oven so used that. Its a slightly odd shape with the convection fan part protruding from the rear of the oven however that does make it suitable for going in a corner at an angle .Temperature controls and time controls are easy to set and appear to be accurate when measured with a temperature gaugeI have had a few steam ovens over the years and although I have talked of some issues her it seems a capable device and for the price works well . More expensive units £480 + have not performed as well . Having no effective instruction book is a problem as not everyone would be willing to do the discovery work needed and the internet isn't really that helpful in this case .Longevity is a question I have but as with all the modern devices they seem to be made from thinner steal and lighter construction and perhaps that's why they are more easily damaged by heavy handed couriers throwing things around and if something should go wrong with it I am not really confident that the company who shipped this is capable of doing any thing to fix the issue other than asking you to send it back for a partial refund but again they are not a specialist white good shipper
