I never smelled Ocotea before but it does smell similar to Ceylon cinnamon. The flowery note reminds me of Ceylon cinnamon sticks, and the woody, peppery smell reminds of the way some trees here in Florida smell after the rain. It doesn't irritate or burn my skin like actual cinnamon oil. It also smells like apple pie. Exotic and familiar, comforting scent all in one. Love it!

I love this brand for aromatherapy. The scents are pleasant and easy to use. I really appreciate that this was packaged separately even though it was with other items in the box. So even if it broke it wouldn't have ruined the other stuff in the box. Also got a 10% off coupon and a FREE sample!! I always had an Alberta spruce Christmas tree growing up and I miss the scent. I bought this to add to diffuse and add to my candle. It really smells like an Alberta spruce and it brought back memories.
