Kata KT DL-3N1-33 3-In-1 Sling Backpack (Black)

My old KATA KTD 3n1-33 got stolen. This bag is a new 3-in-1, and costs about the same as the old one. However, it got stripped down to the bones. Thin flimsy material ("light" bag), cheap thin zippers, which are hard to move, no "quick draw" feature, rain cover is not built in, laptop compartment is eliminated, and to reach laptop you have to unzip the top compartment. So, where is the old design? It now belongs to a "pro" line, 3n1-35 PL, the same as my old bag, some new cosmetics, but twice as expensive. Well, this bag is going back fast, and I think KATA will lose more loyal customers with this move. There is a nearly similar in concept Vivitar bag, which might be not as nice as the "pro" model, but definitely better than this 3-in-1, and costs half the price.

Ok, the bag arrived on time and was nicely packed. That is the only good thing about it.The main compartment is not very practical. There is no dedicated laptop access, so to reach laptop you have to unzip the top compartment. Add the fact that the inside collapses easy, and the sling option does not work very comforatably.Even the colr choices are poor, while would you put the inner shoulder strap white. As you grab the bag, it becomes with time more and more dirty.I would not recommend this bag.The only reason, I still owe this bag is that I bought it while on a Business trip in the US along with the camera and I was left without an option to bring my stuff home. Otherwise, this bag would have gone back fast. I have since bought a Think Tank - Street Walker Hard Drive, a real charm.

I ordered this bag thinking it would work better if not as well as the the old 33 did seem to work. I was wrong. The zippers are hard to open, the inside collapses easy, and the sling option does not work very comforatably. I would not recommend this bag. Hopefully I can find a D-33 model. I returned mine. Maybe someone else may get this to work as described.

The bag on the whole is OK. Light, interal design good for photographers who need to bring plenty lens. But the zip needs improvement. It stuck sometimes

It's very easy to use, light and durable. A lot of things can be put in it. the only thing that I don't like about it is that its when you carry it for a long time your back gets really hot.

IT IS GREAT LOVE IT NOW I CAN CARRY EVERYTHING WITH ME WHEN I FLY AND TRAVEL ALL OF MY CAMERA THINGS AND MY 17 IN LAP TOP THEN I CAN DOWN LOW ALL MY PHOTOS RIGHT THEIR THAT GREAT I CAN SEE AND EDITED ALL MY PHOTOS RIGHT THEN AN NOW AND SEND THEM OUT TO MY OFFICE JUST ONE THING MISSING IF THEY ONLY HAVE EASY CLIPS TO A JUST THE TIGHTNESS

Ordered this as I was needing more room and easier access to lenses and different cameras. Everything fits, but would have liked a few more outer pockets for dust brushes, extra memory cards, etc.

Lots of room and adaptability. Have been able to put in 2 35mm bodies, my 600mm long lens and 3 other lenses plus accessories. It fits comfortably as a backpack. Sling strap is hard on the back for any long periods of time just due to the nature of carrying that way. But sling strap is comfortable. Easy to open and to switch strap configuration.

It seems that the new version of the same bag is not built nearly as well as the older versions I've seen in online reviews. The quick draw isn't really very quick and the zippers feel like they will eventually give me trouble, they feel thin and flimsy. It's going to serve my purpose for now, certainly lots of space inside, Something I didn't read about is that you can open an internal zipper to combine the two compartments into one, in case you just want a day pack. The bottom padding could be beefed up a bit.

This is an amazing product, many options for storing equipment, protects well!! I bailed skiing with it and had no damage!!
