Tools I used: Scissors, Exact-O Knife, credit card, pastry cutter This window beside my front door has been a pain in my neck since I bought this house. Mainly bc I have four kids. And nothing’s proven durable enough for them. Curtains rods have fallen, the dog doesn’t help things either. She clawed at the previous decal on the window, which is why I needed to purchase this one ASAP. We’ve been in an ice storm for over a week, so I had no choice but to install it while the window was freezing. The last one I installed required a squeegee and a bottle of water to make it stick. I thought this would be the same set-up. First off, NO. This product is basically a sticker - you peel off the back, you make sure it’s flat. Done. I immediately thought this was going to be harder. I was surprised that it was actually easier! Tips: 1. buy wider/longer than what you need. I bought the EXACT length I needed (oops). 2. Have all of your materials within arms reach before you begin. 3. The trick is to make sure you stay straight. So you don’t have to start over. 4. Give yourself about a half an inch overhang on all sides. You can trim it later with the exacto knife. Trust me. This is the best piece of advice I can give you. 5. Use a credit card or something flat to push out all the air bubbles as you go. I used a pastry cutter bc they’re more sturdy and wider. And I’m really picky about air bubbles. Overall Review: I prefer this product over the “water” one. Granted with the other one, it’s fully removable in case you make a mistake during install, but the installation on those is trickier, so you’re more likely to make a mistake anyway. With this product, it has a more precise installation. I was done in less than 30mins. It had fewer air bubbles than the other kind. Plus, the design is a stained glass. So air bubbles aren’t as noticeable. I just wish I would have given myself for margins on all sides. I did end up having to make a slice in the middle, which isn’t ideal. But from the outside, it is not even noticeable. This is a good product for someone that needs something up quick, and maybe doesn’t have a lot of dexterity in their hands. It was quick & looks fantastic!

I love this product and its so worth the very good price. Cats like when I make a little space so they can easily see out.

So this is beautiful quality and looks so effective. I used it on my front door to add a bit of colour on a very plain white PVC door with a large glass section. The glass was already frosted on my door but you cannot even see the frosting through this film because the pattern is so strong and the Privacy of the film is top-notch. You have to get right up close to see the frosting of the glass. The film is sticky, whereas other ones I’ve used are applied using water. This means it’s a little more difficult to get it just perfect because once it’s stuck down, it’s a nightmare to get off so if you get it wrong the first time, it’s a bit of a battle to correct it. I found that it was easiest to measure the size of the window and cut down, then I removed the backing paper and stuck in the middle of the window first and used a credit card to push out to the edges. I then used a sharp crafting knife to run along the edge of the glass where it met the plastic to get it to fit as closely as possible. I think it lets a decent amount of lighting, but it definitely does reduce the light that’s letting into a room so wouldn’t recommend using it on a window that already doesn’t get much light as it may darken your room. It does look absolutely beautiful on my front door and it’s been complimented by various People.
