More than happy with this book
Normally, I don't do women authors. Please don't take that the wrong way, it's just that they tend to veer off in to love stories, going away from the main plot. But this' Wow', It had me hooked right from the very first page. After watching the DVD that was based two of the books by Sophie Hannah. I was tempted to get this, I am glad I did.How this managed to pick up a few one star reviews, I really don't know. I will be ordering more books by this lady this week.Do yourselves a favour, and get hold of at least this one. I just hope the rest are as good. Time will tel.

Ok but not brilliant
I have only read one other of this author’s books which was written years ago and I really like it. This one however was disappointing and rather slow to get off the ground. It was a bit far fetched; why leave your family and go on holiday miles away because you are unhappy with their reaction to your news? There’s a twist at the very end which is disturbing but all in all a so so story.

Sophie Hannah's new stand-alone is her best novel yet.
I've been a fan of Sophie Hannah's crime fiction since LITTLE FACE, and it's my considered view this is her BEST book yet. As ever, it's wholly satisfying and unguessable. But it's also less complex than some of her books - more 'pure' in a way - and that makes it all the more credible. Cara escapes England consumed by her own problems - she thinks her family do not want the baby she is carrying - but on arrival at the luxury spa in Arizona, she is faced with a problem she realises she really cannot easily resolve herself. She is disarmed to a greater degree than other Hannah protagonists, and so are her readers. Her quest to find out what really happened to the missing girl Melody introduces her to a fantastic array of memorable characters, and chilling details of the US legal system (which is different to our own). Of course, she must face the problems she's left behind ... if she can. I loved DID YOU SEE MELODY? and recommend it highly.

Enjoyed it overall
I liked the story although there were times where I thought chunks could have been taken out as were somewhat wishy washy.
