Reliable, love Sistema microwavables
I accidently put my microwave on grill setting and melted the top pf my last Sistema soup cup ... though the actual cup remained in perfect condition. This is a perfect size as it allows you to have a standard can of soup with enough room for some grated cheese and a piece of cut up toast for a complete lunch.I bought these for all the kids when they went to uni and my son uses his for his shift work as it can gp straights from the fridge into the microwave.Wash perfectly and withstand droppibg5on tiled floors.

Good for lunch
While not absolutely watertight it's fine if you keep it upright, if it tips over, liquid can leak out. Naturally this will not suit some people, it depends how you carry your lunch to work I suppose, but as I wedge mine in my lunchbag or backpack I make sure it stays upright and it doesn't spill. The cup holds a 400ml (large) can of soup, or similar amounts of other food - I have used this for soup and porridge and would happily use it for noodles, rice, pasta with sauce, anything that needs carrying about and heating up at destination, really. Be sure to leave space at the top of the cup though as over-filling it will make it spill.I personally value the microwaving abilities of this far more than the lunchbox aspect, no more soup splattered all over the microwave, no more burnt fingers, no more slopping half your lunch on the counter because it's too hot to hold, no more explosions of soup thanks to the vent, no more nasty clingfilm or kitchen paper in your lunch - need I go on? Just pop the cup in the fridge when you get to work, nuke at lunchtime with the vent open, and you get a hot lunch with an easy-carry handle. I've even taken soup to work still in the can and carried this cup along empty just so I can microwave the soup in it!Loses a star because it's not properly watertight.

Use this to defrost and heat my soups
Come the cooler months of the year I quite like to batch make my own soup and store servings in the freezer. When I want a quick and easy meal I take out a serving of soup, place in the mug and defrost the soup in the microwave. Once fully defrosted I then up the power and cook the soup so it is nice and hot ready to eat.

Perfect for transporting soups, casseroles and making noodles. Love my purple one!
I've got one of these in Purple and hubby has one in Red. We both love them! I use mine for noodles, occasionally I like a hot cup of noodles and I pop them in, pour on boiling water, lid for 3 minutes and perfect noodles I can eat out of the cup.I use hubby's for him to take left-over dinner into work which he re-heats in the microwave there. He's heated lots in his from home-made soup, to noodles, to casseroles etc. I haven't noticed any staining or the melting of plastic at the top where other reviewers have had that problem and I have certainly used high-fat stuff (Scottish Stovies is heavy in either Goose Fat or Duck Fat the way I make it) and both his and mine have been well used. He carries his in his back-pack and no spillage at all either. These are the perfect solution for me and mine to transport food and soups and to make noodles in and just eat out of the cup with a fork. Love my purple one! such a pretty colour.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good. Sturdy container
These are quite large but very useful. I use a soup maker and use these for the extra soup I put in the fridge. With the vent these are used for reheating and they are easily washed and smells don't linger in them. I have a lot of Sistema containers and have always found them durable.
