DIY skills needed
If you aren’t afraid of a project, this is an easy fix. And if you searched for “ballast”, you probably aren’t afraid! With my light fixture I had to drill out five rivets, remov the old ballast and wiring, and replaced it with this new one. I would say it took me about 45 minutes but I like to take my time with some projects. If you don’t have a rivet tool you could conceivably do this job with splice butt connectors but I wanted to make it look original. I circled the areas where I riveted on my picture with yellow. I also bought new lightbulbs because my old ones were dying. When I was done my light fixture fired right up and was perfect!

WORKS GREAT OEM REPLACEMENT
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A SET OF LED BULBS (FROM AMAZON) THAT WERE ADVERTISED AS A PLUG AND PLAY REPLACEMENT FOR THE ORIGINAL FLORESENT BULBS. I REPLACED THESE AS INSTRUCTED AND THEY WORKED VERY BRIGHT FOR ABOUT 5 OR 10 MINUTES AND THEN BURNED OUT MY FIXTURES BALLASTS. I WAS UPSET AS I COULD NOT REPLACE THE FIXTURE IN THE MOTORHOME AS THEY ARE CUT INTO THE CEILING. FORTUNATELY AMAZON HAD THESE BALLASTS AVAILABLE SO I ORDERED AND REPLACED THEM WITH FLORESENT BULBS AGAIN. ALL IT WELL A 70 DOLLAR EXPENSE AND QUITE A BIT OF WORK TO RE AND RE.... LIVE AND LEARN?

WORKS GREAT.
Works great. Just connected wire to wire with connectors, drilled out rivets holding old one, and used small bolt and nuts to mount new one. If I had to do it over, I would cut the wires shorter. Too much wire to get under the center cover. I was leaving it long because if I messed up and had to cut the wire and do it again I would have enough wire. G lad I read questions to find out which one I needed. Was looking for new light. Saved some money. Flipped the switch and voila! We have light again!

Nice ballast. Oriented differently from original, but ample wire for connections

Good but the price is too high.
I had to replace 2 of these in my motor home lamps. I ordered this one even though the price was high (for what it is). It worked fine. Later I found the very same item in a local RV parts/repair shop for #5 bucks less and no shipping charges.
