If it had better instructions, I'd be able to tell you how well it actually works.
I haven't actually used this yet because it doesn't come with specific enough instructions. Maybe better gardeners than I already know what you're supposed to do, but it isn't clear for me, for example, how much product I should combine with how much water to treat how many plants or how much soil... and since apparently it's super toxic, I don't want to get this wrong. (And also since it's a "violation of federal law" to get this wrong apparently.) And what sort of vessel do I combine it in--if I use my regular watering can, will it leave trace amounts of pesticide? If I only want to use this on my non-edible plants, do I need to find a second watering can?I realize we're all sick of instructions that assume the user has no common sense, but some help for a newbie gardener here would be appreciated.

Product works exactly as described!
Knock-Out Gnats worked perfectly with one application. I had a HUGE influx of gnats in my indoor plants after repotting one in new indoor potting soil, which I assume had the gnats. The only drawback to Knock-Out Gnats, and why I didn't give this product a "5" rating, is because it's a bit messy. You have to put the product under about 1" of soil and it got messy moving the soil, putting the product in, covering it up, etc., and I had several pots. You must do ALL your pots to eradicate the gnats. Having done that, the gnats were "knocked out" w/in a day or 2. Worked perfectly. Highly recommend.

Works great!
Every spring I seem to be bombarded with these nasty fungus gnats! One application of Knock-Out Gnats and I have pretty much eradicated them. Will treat all my plants again in another week just to make sure. Super easy to use and works great.

Excellent product from Gardens Alive
I've used this product many times in my greenhouse, where fungus gnats are an annual problem. I have lots of pets that roam around, so I don't want to use pesticides. In my case, two applications and all the gnats are gone. The gnats really aren't the problem...the problem is that they lay eggs in the soil, which hatch into larvae, which eat the plant roots. Gardens alive has many excellent products as well.

TOXIC!!! HAZARDOUS Fine Powder!!!
TOXIC!!!!! HAZARDOUS!!!!! It arrived in leaky bag with wording on the bag indicating that it is HIGHLY TOXIC!!!!! The material came as a extremely fine powder, finer that talcum powder that became airborne as soon as I opened the Amazon outer package. When I tried to remove and unfolded (not open but folded) the folded brown-paper bag, powder filled the air. The 1-point font on the brown paper bag indicates high toxicity such that there is a HIGH warning to not breathe the dust nor get it in your eyes.

My office was overrun with gnats that originated from 3 potted plants. Using this in combination with Gardens Alive Pot Stickers eliminated the problem within 2 weeks. I was mixing very small quantities, so I'm sure it was far too concentrated, but the plants showed no ill effects.
