Love the package
I like how the board handles either 3.3 or 5V without anything extra, the interrupt pin is great for tap detection. Using adafruit's library and examples I was able to get it running in now time.

This works well for my project: a home made step counter. I have protoyped it for other uses as well. Adafruit is an excellent company for products, support and documentation/examples

Great Accelerometer! Loads of Functionality If You Look for It.
Love this accelerometer! It's versatile and just works! The Adafruit library does a great job of getting you up and running, but there's a load of functionality if you dig a little below the surface. Look for the data sheet and Design Tips from the LIS3DH manufacturer.

Accelerometer works with Electric Imp
Works with Electric Imp but haven't been able to get access to the three additional connections. But the accelerometer works well.

Very Pleased!!
I used this circuit to design a toy for my grandson. The toy is a cube with multi colored led’s on all sides and it only lights the led’s on top because it detects x-y-z orientation. Combined with Arduino Nano. Acellerometer works perfectly!!

So easy to use and get great data; hooked it up with arduino and bluetooth chip for across the room dance party interactivity!!!

The specifications, including the photo, DO NOT MATCH THE ITEM BEING SOLD
The Adafruit Model 2809 is shown on the right. On the left is the item pictured in the ad. Also, the dimensional units of measure appearing in the product specification is inches. The spec, for example reads: " 3.74 x 2.56 x 0.2 inches". The device is no where near these dimensions. Both products use the LIS3DH but the breakouts are totally different, thus the 1-star rating AS ADVERTISED. This needs attention. I received the wrong footprint because of these errors.

Great Accelerometer Until They Ruined It
I don't understand this at all. To use more than one of these at highest sample rates you need SPI, but the connectors are BOTH I2C, and the through holes require to you go to both sides of the PCB. Why did they discontinue the old version which was smaller, less expensive, and worked just as well if not better?
