Both sides to the uncertain consumer
I never write these but I read over lots of mixed reviews about this product and not upon using them myself I think I can shed light to potential buyers. A light that is hard to find between so many "love them" "hate them" reviews. First let me say I have had no problems with them at all. My daughter has plaguocephaly meaning she always slept with her head turned to one side and being a first time mom I didn't notice and issue until one of her ears started to stick out on the side she slept on from being folded. Like alot more... so i bought these despite bad reviews to at least try. I believe this is a great product intended to do what it says, i also believe it is not for every baby. I clean the area with an alcohol prep pad and let dry and it stays 7 days before I remove it. By the 7 days it is not hard to take off with a q tip and coconut oil. She doesn't seem to notice when it's on or when I remove it. However I was nervous the first time that shed hate it grab her ears and be uncomfortable as I'm sure some babies would. It depends on the baby. IF this had happened it's TRUE it would be very very hard to remove right after application and most likely make the baby upset. I think it's one if those things you have to take the risk and try if it's that important to you but i dont think that it has anything to do with a product flaw, it's just for some and not others. That being said it's been 3 weeks and i dont know how well they actually correct ears over time but I do feel better seeing her ears match again when she has one on.

Corrected my infants protruding ears!
My first child has protruding ears. When my second child was about a month old, his right ear started protruding. I looked into various options to correct protruding ears. Most were expensive and required the baby to wear a visible device on their ears. I read mixed reviews on Amazon for this Otostick. I did some further research. I found a study on this product, that showed that when used for 12 months, most users were satisfied with the degree of correction of the protruding ears. I started using this product on the right ear when my baby was 6 weeks. Another reviewer mentioned that they trimmed the sticky surface area for their baby. I did this for the entire 12 months; it was definitely necessary to trim the product when the baby was so small. I used an alcohol prep pad prior to application. I left the otostick on until it started coming off. This was anywhere from a week to a month. I monitored the skin for redness. The otostick is clear which make monitoring easy. Occasionally, I noticed some redness after the sticker started to come off. I would leave it off for a day or two if there was any redness. I always used adhesive remove to remove the otostick when they started to come off. The left ear started protruding when the baby was approximately 12 weeks and I began using otostick on that side as well. For the right ear, I used otostick for a full 12 months. I used it for about 8 months on the left ear. I am super happy with the results. My baby’s ears do not protrude. I am guess that the earlier in baby’s development that this product is used, the higher likelihood of favorable results. This was a low cost, virtually invisible way to correct ear protrusion. Also of note, I never used the enclosed bonnet. I highly recommend this product. Make sure to use an alcohol prep pad before applying and have medical adhesive remover pads on hand to remove the product when it starts to come off!

Useless product
This product was incredibly disappointing. I used it for the first six months of my baby's life, but it had no effect at all. It's overpriced for what amounts to just a piece of tape that doesn't hold up well. I expected much better for the price, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable solution.

Expensive
I get the concept however it did not work well with my baby. Baby had irritation around the ear and inflammation after using this. Extremely difficult to stick on especially for a waddling baby. If you stick it in the wrong way OR the sticker sticks onto each other, then you no longer can use it. And I consider this pretty expensive!!

Discreet Indeed and Definitely Worth it!
**EDIT** (adding a second photo) Removed the stickers and finished box #2: been wearing the nightcap a little inconsistently but recently more often, it’s the most important part. New pic with my baby’s updated ear placement without wearing the adhesives in both pics. We’ve almost been using the product 3 months, the recommended time for a 3 month old baby at start. One box lasts about a month. $75 total cost for this enhancement and placement correction. I’m pleased with the results. My 3 month old baby started using Oto-Stick just after her 3 month mark. I had a great feeling about this product after I went behind the scenes and read the research from their website and beyond (highly recommend doing this) I could not afford Ear-Buddies so this $24 option was an instant fix to my cute little baby’s stick-out ears. She has now been wearing Otostick for 1 full month. We just bought our second box. We use the nightcap. We follow the instructions with alcohol wiping before application and to help remove every 1-2 weeks (basically when they start falling off) This round of adhesives we managed two baths, swimming pool activity and river rafting. The adhesives don’t bother my baby (who loves to pull on her ears while nursing) They are very flexible and the best part is no one notices them anywhere we go in public. You get better at the tedious application after each adhesive swap, figuring out placement etc. Applying them is difficult, but once you get them on, you don’t have to worry about them for at least a week or more. I plan to post another picture later of final results ! A very nice product.
