Arrived, healthy and lively
These snails arrived, very healthy and lively. They came with nice instructions on how to acclimate them to the tank., I would say that they were purchased for my 10 gallon tank to take care of a snail problem acquired from a fish store purchase of plants. Which came with unwelcome guests. So far I have not seen any assassinations of snails going on and I noticed that the assassin snails also tend to hide for the majority of the day but when I do see one, they seem like they’re thriving. Overall I’m very happy with the product and would highly recommend purchasing from the seller

We never see them, but they are doing their job well.
Seven months ago, I purchased two sets of Assassin snails to take care of an overwhelming snail problem in our 75 gallon tank. When we got them, they were very healthy and for the first few days we'd have a sighting once in a while. Since then, we haven't seen them, but our snail problem disappeared in less than a month. We didn't think that they were still alive, but every couple of months, the little snails reappear in the tank and within just a few days, their empty shells float to the surface. We also used to have a bit of an uneaten fish food problem, and that has also been resolved. Yes, we'd love to see the little guys, but they're doing their job, so we can't complain.

Nothing died - except our assassin snails!
We got our assassin snails in the mail - they were alive on arrival. We followed the instructions exactly and introduced them into our aquarium, which had baby snails galore. It should have been a snail smorgasbord for the assassin snails.Nope. The assassin snails were on top of the substrate for a couple days - where there were endless numbers of baby snails - but we never saw them eating. Anything. Then the assassin snails disappeared into the substrate, never to be seen again. I don't know if they died and went to snail heaven, or had an orgy of baby snails, but when we cleaned the tank and removed the substrate several months later, there were no assassin snails. They might work if you have a pet store aquarium - one with no substrate, no plants, nothing of interest in the tanks. But in our aquarium with lots of feeding options, they failed miserably and are now in snail heaven. RIP little snails. We are done with snails and would not buy again.

Alive and doing their job!
All three of my snails arrived alive and well. I was sure two of them were dead; they looked a little dried up and weren't moving initially. I put them in water for an hour or so and they were both totally fine. I added all three to my tank the same day they arrived. My tank was heavily infested with bladder snails. Less than a week later, the population of pest snails is dramatically reduced. The tank looks so much better; I had been manually removing the pest snails since I noticed the infestation several months ago, but my efforts were not even making a dent in their population. The assassins snails are interesting to look at, and they really did work to turn my tank around. Highly recommend this seller (Tropicalfishandfeed is who I purchased from).

different quality on different orders
ordered this twice. First time, the shells were pretty beat like they were in an overrun tank without enough minerals. They also did not survive transfer to a new tank after having them for a bit.The second order was completely different. These snails were perfect condition. I was shocked. The shells were beautiful and healthy. They are still working hard in my new tank.Either way, the snails are good and at a fair price. I did order a second time because I care more about their function than fashion, but that second order was worth commenting on.

Great assassin snails!
I bought these because I had a pest snail invasion that was out of control. The Assassin snails arrived timely, came healthy and alive and have done great …. Thank you to the seller ;) ….But, I think they ate my small mystery snail. Oh well. I moved them into my 5 gal tank away from my big yellow mystery snail, bought another 20 gal. And cycled it and moved all of my fish into it. I couldn’t get those stupid pest snails under control. All from a live plant I bought that had snail eggs in it. Ugh! Never again! I’m leaving these snails in my small tank just cause their cool! And hoping that I’ll never need them again! Lol

I haven't seen where these have reduced the bladder snail population at all
So obviously this is no reflection on the seller, I am just giving my experience with Assassin snails. I added two of these to a 12 gallon cube that was starting to get several bladder snails. The population of bladder snails just kept growing. On multiple occasions I've seen the Assassin snails bump right into the bladder snails and just move out of the way. As to the seller, these snails were delivered quickly and were in great health, so thumbs up to the seller, but I just don't think Assassin snails are a solution to bladder or pond snails. The only thing that has worked for me is a complete tear down of the aquarium, replacing the substrate and putting all plants and hardware in a quarantine tank for several weeks to make sure there are no eggs. Yes it is a pain but I have tried everything else, traps, removing by hand, etc. I will never put another plant in my tank without quarantining it for a month first. Lesson learned.
