The script is revised
If you are an Asterix fan from the 70's and 80's you'll soon realize the translation is different. Getafix is Panoramix and the conversation text is not the same - not as funny as the original. Papercutz (publisher) has revised the script and now sounds more familiar to Millenials.

Omnibus or individual stories...
... that was the question vexing me when deciding to purchase Asterix for my 8 year old. He has read quite a few already and i was very unsure whether 3 books in one would be too unwieldy to read easily. However I was very pleased with the first two volumes I decided to buy having seen the price of individual stories and despite having read one of the 3 books in the omnibus he was delighted to have some new ones - also like the picture on the spine that really makes you want to buy the rest of the set. Marketing ploy maybe but fun...Of course Asterix and Obelix are classic and through them my 8 year old is now learning a bit of "Latin" and has even got the Minimus book as a start. Plus he is an expert on Romans - so history is (for him) just fun, fun, fun!

CLASSIC
Great books and true to the series we all know and love. Grew up reading these books and so glad to see them in their original form. Timeless. I've seen some complaints about certain volumes and stories being not very PC, so if your a sensitive sole then parents I would suggest you look into the stories and make your purchase accordingly :) for me these books are classics and timeless

A great purchase for young budding readers.
Bought for a 7 year old boy, He absolutely loves these and re-reads them constantly. Well worth starting with Omnibus 1 but it doesn't really matter as each can be read in any sequence.
