Used this to varnish my garden bench. The old varnish was peeling off so I rubbed it down and re-varnished with this Yacht Varnish. It went on easily and dried quickly, giving a nice gloss finish. I applied three coats for extra protection. I love that this is a water based varnish and therefore not smelly!

Easy to apply and good quality

Varnish is my nemesis in my job restoring furniture.. I've tried at least 20 different ones and ALL have left me disappointed. I've decided to write a review based on the outcome .Stir the product very well but gently enough not to create bubbles. I tried two different techniques... The first I wipe on with a lint free rag ( as an experiment) It went on well but when dried it was quite dull looking. I got out a shed free paintbrush and I glided on beautifully. I'd say its ready to add another layer after an hour. Being waterbased you can clean your brush will little effort. After two coats the sheen is gorgeous!I'd say its more " satin" than glossy but I'm not disappointed.This will be a staple in my workshop from now on.Five stars from me. Buy it with confidence.

Product was easy to use and to clean up afterwards. Went on easily and dried to a great finish. I used on teak garden furniture after sanding and oiling, giving the oil 24 hours to cure. Tin was enough for three coats of four chairs and table.

Yacht varnish but washable brushes, It appears white but dries gloss clear, used on sanded un planed wood to create a rustic table top, it looks superb but no way would cover the amount of surface described, however given the look I am pleased. It says on the container that it protects against sunlight, then further down to avoid exposure to strong sunlight?

Very good product. Covered well and produces a bright sheen.

I love this varnish for the effort it gives to showing the woods true form. Will turn dull wood vibrant and highlight darker notes on the wood. Great value for money.

Plastic tin is excellent so it doesn't rust and the varnish doesn't seem to stick the lid on quite as much?Varnish itself went on easy. Starts milky and sets clear. Used it on a bed side table and very happy with the results.Also washes out of brushes which I'm thrilled about.
