JWPet Company GripSoft Shedding Comb for Dogs

This is the only brush Ive found that gets deep under the mat and pulls them up to the surface. You have to brush the mat like your are detangling a knot from your own hair. By that I mean you can’t just get it under and yank once to remove. That hurts. You have to get it under and work it out with 4-5 swipes. Its also really good at pulling up the undercoat. I feel like I could brush my cat forever with this thing and still get hair off. Where other combs just brush the top layer and doesn’t remove anything. If your cat does not have mats or thick undercoat then the teeth on this comb are probably too long as its intended to be a “deep” comb.

I am a dog groomer and I use this comb at work. It does a good job of getting stubborn dead fur out of thick coats. It requires a bit of technique. At first I wasn’t getting much out, but after some different methods I’ve learned quick short pulls work best. It’s been a few months and no prongs have been lost.

how comfortable this comb is to handle. If anyone knows what it is like to comb out a woolly coated Siberian Husky, you understand that comfort is important. I'm able to get over her whole body pretty quickly, without the comb constantly catching. Granted she is only 10 weeks right now, but she is estimated to be at least 100 lbs, so I will leave an update review in about a year. Gracilee also seems to like this comb better than the stainless steel one, I originally purchased, it was just to uncomfortable and rough on her.I would recommend this comb for comfort and great performance so far.

Did the job on my Golden who has a thick and curly coat.

This gets the job done i just wish it had a vacuum attached to get the hair.

Great tool to comb through and detangle the undercoat. I have a long hair German Shepherd that has a thick undercoat. The “teeth” of the comb are rounded to avoid stabbing/poking the skin, but can easily slide through the hair and undercoat.

Made well but our dog has tangles and this hard to use on her.

I love these alternating length combs. This is the third one I've gotten of different brands and I've liked them all. They really help with shedding and getting out little mats in the undercoat of my Lhasa Apsos. I like the comfy handle on this brand.

My Maine Coon looking long haired monster sized cat had a few mats. The stickler brush I use on him was no help whatsoever. I didn't want to cut them out. This comb is a beast! It took out every single mat. I'm very happy with it.

This dog brush rates 5 stars because it is very sturdy and comes with a easy-grip / non-slip rubber handle. The row of “bristles” are not sharp and are set at an angle making combing a breeze. I couldn’t find it in any local pet store. So, I was very pleased to be able to purchase it online. 9 August 2013

Ce peigne fonctionne très bien et embellit vraiment notre chienne Montagne des Pyrénées. Ce peigne retire correctement et facilement les poils de fond.

I only find this brush is good for getting tangles out especially behind the ears. So if you have a long haired dog it’s a good purchase.

This is great when they are blowing coat. Helps pull the clumps out. My favourite tool when grooming my Siberian Huskies.
