Good value for money
I love the fact there are a few "spells/experiments" not just one, read first as you do need to have stuff like baking soda for one of the experiments! I got caught short.

Learning through fun
The set is filled with experiments which use things like static electricity, dilution and absorption, all things which create fun and impressive results that don’t feel like learning but really are. This set will appeal to children who like to know how things work and who enjoy actually seeing how things work rather than just reading about how things work.It is best used with an adult if the child is under 10 as there are a few pouring, mixing and tricky sticking things to do in the set.All the scientific equipment is provided but you need to provide your own egg to make the dragons eggs.We enjoyed working with this set, it was fun and the learning was well disguised within

Hardly Potter...
Not sure if this Science4you Wizard STEM Science Kit is best described as a stocking filler or a spare hour-filler because the packaging definitely promises more than it delivers (including vague copyright-evading Harry Potter references) and it's a bit of an anti-climax once opened. Actually it's quite a big anti-climax and that's why I'd describe it as an hour-filler rather than an afternoon filler. Many of these home science kits are based around experiments you could carry out yourself using common household and kitchen items and this kit's no different. Nonetheless if they're well put together those kinds of kit can still be worth the cost because they focus kids' attention and get them interested, but this one is a bit of a damp squib in that area. The items in the kit are fine, though nothing special, and the illustrated manual is fine, though again nothing special, but the 'experiments' are really a bit tedious and most rely on phenomena kids of 8 years old and above (the target age range) have probably already encountered. They might treat it as a bit of a challenge game, to complete all the experiments in as short a time as possible, but none of the experiments are very compelling on their own. Younger kids might enjoy finding out about static electricity on balloons etcetera but they'll need some supervision and so it becomes a science kit to play with your very young kids rather then something they'll do on their own. It's okay really, but there are better science kits around at similar prices.

Rubbish
Not at all as advertised. You need so many extra things to do the projects. Total Waste of money.

Aimed better at my 7 and 5 year old!
Having just introduced them to Harry Potter they were so excited to try their own magic science experiments. There was a little bit of disappointment with the lack of contents in such a large box, however they were soon distracting with their first experiment. With minimal guidance from me they had great fun trying a few of the experiments. It is a set they have gone back to to try other experiments that they haven't done yet as they don't have the attention span to do all nineteen in one go.At £13.08 I do think it great for the younger children - I think those over 8 would not get the wow factor and would already have the independence to try the experiments on their own.

Another addition landfill
It saddens me to receive a box of this size and giving a child massive expectations, only to get a second rate experience. It can only be described as a massive letdown to just do something once and never want to repeat that experiment or experience with the equipment provided. My lad is a Huge HP fan so obviously he wanted to give this a try. But after about 20 minutes of disappointment it was all put back in the box never to be looked at again.I guess if you was demonstrating some of these to a small child they may find it all mildly interesting, but it’s certainly not great for older kids.I can’t really recommend getting this for your child or as a present for another child as it will just add to the ever increasing waste problems.

Impressed
My 9 year old was able to do all the experiments on his own without too much help from me. I think it is excellent set as it is quite simple but my child done all the tasks independently. The instructions are easy to follow and it is well written to keep the child engaged. You do need some additional ingredients that don’t come with the set, like corn starch, baby powder, baking powder and olive oil, but that’s not a problem because most of the households will have those items in the cupboard. You can’t help but notice the resemblance with well known movie character and theme of the set, any fan would love this box of magic.Excellent value STEAM kit.

Certified STEM Product.
I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program. This toy targets kids aged 8+. It's a great gift idea for children who are facinated by science. I loved Science when I was in primary so I got this for my 4 year old but ofcourse I had to show him how it's done. Hopwfully he will also have interest in Science when he is older. The toy is well packed and presented. It comes with a booklet / instruction on how to the the experiments. The experiments were simple and not complicated so my son was amazed by it. But I think this won't be too amazing for the targeted age gropu of I'm honest. It is currently sold at £10.99 at the time of this review which is which is quite decent.
