This product is amazingI am just struggling when it goes to sleepI have to switch off then on

I like everything about this device. Large storage 18TB. Easy to set up & use. The only thing I really don't like is the large blue operating light, about ½" in diameter and it flashes when it's working to access files or uploading files. I covered it with tin foil and all is good.

I bought two of them one working drive and the other a backup. Both drives failed in less than week of use.I sent both to Seagate. Their service is awful. After a month they only recover 1/3 of the data on the drive from the first one. The second drive is still somewhere since two months. I think they lost it. The service of Seagate is horrible, only by chat. Even if the agents are nice, they can't do much. And I still waiting to see what happened to my drive. They really don't care about their client. Get anything else but not Lacie or Seagate

Después de dos meses fallo y en México no hay soporte local para que lo revisen y hagan valida la garantía y me recuperen la información. Se supone que si un disco falla esta el otro para rescatar la información y no es así según soporte de la marca.Actualización: Envié el disco a Seagate en USA para ver si podían rescatar la información , al parecer la rescataron pero el problema es que al enviarlo de vuelta a México UPS lo perdió, Seagate no da respuesta y ya vas mas de un mes. No recomiendo esta marca ya sean disco Seagate o La Cie por que no hay soporte ni respuesta en México.

The product itself is a very good, reliable product. this is my second one. The product is mis advertised on Amazon. It says it is thunderbolt 4 ports, but it is really thunderbolt 3. LaCie was bought out by Seagate a while back and they have kept the LaCie product name. the problem is that Seagate support looks after the support of the LaCie drives and they do not have the product knowledge to do so. Their support is the worst in the industry. Made promises to follow up and never do. there is an update available for the drive I purchased and they are unable to give it to me. Their website does not serve up the update. If you purchase a drive do not expect any support from Seagate

Comprei esse novo modelo para ter junto ao meu outro Lacie, do modelo anterior mas não imaginava que iriam descontinuar o botão de liga/desliga. Sem ele, o HD fica sempre conectado ao iMac e ligado. Dessa forma, toda vez que vou salvar qualquer arquivo em meu computador, a caixa de diálogo procura os locais disponíveis e faz uma leitura do HD inteiro, o que demora vários segundos. Ou seja, piorou a experiência em relação ao modelo anterior.
