Very simple to use and useful
This is an excellent product and saves a lot of time when watering plants. You know how dry, moist or wet each plant is and only water those in need.

Not accurate
I watered my plant & used the device straight away, left it in for the right amount of time & it said that it was dry

Very inaccurate
Unfortunately I had to return this as it didn’t read out at all, even when placed in very moist soil it showed as dry.Perhaps i was just unlucky and got a faulty one, as I’ve had these before and they worked fine!

Plant wetness types on the packaging. Need more UK / European information
We have a large number of plants in pots – both inside the house and out in the garden. The traditional gardner’s way of checking if plants in pots need to be watered is to see if the top two inches of the soil is dry. (This is also very dependent on the pot soil mix). So, not very scientific so how well does a probe of this type help? Exactly what is the technological basis of the measurement? The unit (with a decent size probe nearly 8 inches to reach down to root level) comes in a usual blister pack. The meter itself is scaled 0 – 10 and on the back of the blister pack is a list of plants by preferred wetness scale, Good idea (you do need to keep the packaging) but not all plants are covered, many seem to be weird translations! My initial tests were to see what readings I got from a number of internal and external plants and yes, I did get readings but then the problem was to correlate this with the plant list provided. Initial results show you can recognise low moisture levels and when to water but this is qualitative rather than quantitative. The plant list needs to be updated with either technical names or recognisable European . I am giving this a conservative three stars but may re-rate later
