Not an NDIR CO2 detector
Does not detect CO2. Tested against lab-grade CO2 from a cylinder. No response. Likely a VOC sensor that "estimates" CO2.

Don’t waste your money.
This product reads the same regardless of the room it’s in. Doesn’t appear to measure anything. The readings are completely useless.

Scam
Talked to a professional. This is a scam. Don't expect it to do anything but blink and show numbers that don't mean anything.

It's Portable and Battery, 1200 mAh, Lithium Rechargeable
I really like the size, display and the fact that it is both rechargeable and cord free. Flashes Green. Yellow, Orange or Red to indicate CO2 level. It does have a newer USB C cable for charging and it could be plugged in but it does not have to be. Too early to know about real battery life but I'm hopeful it's a decent period of time with the 1200 mAh battery.Square, boxy, sits nicely on a table top or desk, the color display is visible across the room for CO2, but you have to be closer to read the temperature and humidity, reads both °C / °F and PPM. On a higher CO2 level it beeps (but it's not blaring loud). It seems pretty sensitive and needs a few minutes to stabilize after powering up, I would give it a couple minutes to normalize. Plenty of air vent space to allow for the sensors to read correctly and can be wall mounted too.Once it acclimates will compare the reading to Air Things for comparison. It does not log, more of an at this moment indicator but it's very reasonable in cost compared to the other unit. I wanted to carry it outdoors when my neighbor burns trash to see how that affects the CO2 in my yard. It's nosey objectionable particulate wise but I'd it a hazzard to health?(UPDATE: poor battery life ~8hr, registers 450 ppm by default, took hour to get close to AirThings CO2 900-1000 ppm range, then shot up to 3500 ppm then down to 1350 ppm, seems erratic, without a logging feature it’s hard to catch swings like this, but other devices they did not log these same swings).

Short battery life, only in Celsius, inaccurate.
If the battery life was a little longer id maybe give it 4 stars but I would literally die in my sleep if I had to rely on this thing to detect in the middle of the night. I did like the display but you can’t change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Also the CO2 meter fluctuates frequently so maybe it’s overly sensitive, could be user error but the directions were also not very clear.

Short battery life!
The meter works well but it's a USB mini charger input I'm using it for a grow tent and the battery only lasts 12 hrs . So you need to keep charging it or have it plugged in all the time which ruins the battery so 3 stars

Readings are way off
Sending this back. Bought it because of price and it has internal battery, but its readings were way off when side by side with this one I bought last year: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MWH1JXY/. The latter was reading in the 700's, which makes sense for being in a small room with poor ventilation, yet this one being reviewed kept reading around 450. Clearly wrong.
