Works great and easy to setup.
So I have read plenty of bad reviews and stories of these things failing after a few months of use and was hesitant to buy one, as I couldn't find one with only good reviews. I have a sprinkler system for my lawns but have been watering my flower beds by hand for years now. Generally by late July or August, I am over it and make my poor plants fend for themselves or water far less often than I should. I end up paying for it as plants don't establish good root systems or don't end up making it into the next year. this year I decided I wanted to break the cycle and have my flower beds irrigated too. Where I could I tapped into my existing sprinkler system and it has been glorious. Unfortunately I had two areas in my yard where I couldn't tap into my sprinkler lines, but luckily I had hose-bibs nearby. With lots of summer plans and vacations on the horizon, I decided to automate this sections as well. I ordered two of these for different areas. These were delivered a week ago today. They were incredibly easy to setup and only take minutes to have installed to the drip lines I already set up about a month ago. Couple recommendations based on multiples reviews I have seen:1. You want one with a cover like this one.2. Connections are always plastic on these. I recommend getting quick release connectors on both sides, so you can easily unhook for winter months and not risk breaking the plastic. I also used pipe fitting tape on the connectors to keep a waterproof seal.3. In my case I was running drip lines, so I needed a pressure regulator to reduce the PSI, I recommend installing this above the timer to reduce the pressure on the unit as well as the line. I also installed a back-flow valve underneath the unit as required by my local area but think it is a good idea, even if not required to keep back pressure off the unit.In the end I no longer have to worry about getting out to water on a routine basis. I am utilizing better water usage practices and my plants are happier. It is worth the time and cost to install items like these. If I end up having issues in the future, I will update my review so people know.

Works Fine
Person who normally watered our potted plants while we are on vacation was not available so we tried this with a trickle hose. Set it up a couple days before going on vacation to test and after adjusting time duration and flow, it worked perfectly for our needs. We were away 8 days and when we got back, plants were in great shape and the weather had been hot - high 80s and low 90s.Would recommend testing before leaving because our initial thoughts on watering would have been too heavy. Originally had it set to run two hours twice a date. Testing we found we only needed to run it 45 minutes, twice a day. It is easy to program and we hooked it on the end of a hose rather than at the faucet to make it easier to get at. The timer and drip hose combined cost less than paying the person who watered the plants. Wife was skeptical at first but now is a believer and happy that her plants are healthy. Can’t speak to durability yet but so far we are pleased.

Easy to program and you can run the irrigation cycle multiple times a day. Lasted 3 years
I waited until the irrigation season was nearly over to review these timers. I have two in my greenhouse. This is probably the easiest timer to program. The dial is large and simple to use, and the readout is large, so I can see it without crawling under the bench. I have been using them all summer and they have worked flawlessly daily on one 9v battery (one cycle per day). I just set up the second one to run misters on shrubbery cuttings. You can set up as many cycles as you want, every minute, every two hours, once a day, whatever. I have never had a timer that can do that. So I can have the misters come on multiple times a day for a few minutes each, to keep my new cuttings hydrated until they root. Imagine that! My only negative comment is that the box is large and I have two on one 4-way gang valve. So I turned one sideways so they can sit side by side, which makes it a little harder to see the readout but still OK. These are also a great value. I'm considering buying a whole bunch next year for my orchard so I can take a vacation!Update August 2022: The battery compartment leaked and water got into the electronics, killing the timer. The second one (I bought two) is still OK.

extremely simple to program, works perfectly, amazing customer service
This seller is the best on AMAZON. ( period ) I had an initial issue, (self imposed I ultimately found out) and the seller of this product (Instapark) went way overboard in solving the issue. The product works spectacularly, but the seller, I can hardly believe how fast they replied to my initial inquiry and their resolution. Unbelievably good customer service. I highly recommend this seller...The device itself is perfect for my application (daily one event watering with a "demand" over-ride)PRO:- so simple to program- extremely accurate ( all digital)- built-in instruction simply by the way it's designed (best I've ever seen and I don't see how to make it any better)- over-ride programming for both rain and for "demand use"- program allows for additional watering and you can set the interval and walk away- simple single button press to turn on the water say for a hose ** in my case, I use a water manifold, (see enclosed picture) so when I need the hose, I just press the button on the lower right. (press it again to turn it off or the timer will also run the programmed interval and shut off)If I have any concerns about this device at all, it's that, "it's plastic at critical points." It hasn't been an issue but I would say you definitely wouldn't want to carelessly pull on the hose. I'm not about to "test stress" the two connection points (where the hose attaches and even more so, where the device attaches to the faucet - You can see in the picture how this could really risk some serious stress) I will be adding some stress protection. I really like this thing. I obviously don't want anything to happen to it.

Very good timer but needs modification for uk use
Top connection fits onto UK outside taps with thread. But bottom outlet thread is not uk spec and you cannot get. However i removed the 1st 3 threads to allow it to insert into uk connector andthis can then be cranked onto and then sealed well against the rubber seal inside uk connector.

Change in design makes it useless
I have about 16 of these timers. I ordered it 4 times. Recently I ordered 4 more. When I tried to install the, I found there was no longer a reducer (adapter) for attaching it to a tap. The new design had a smaller opening that is supposed to fit directly on to a tap. However when I tried to install it, the fit when fully tighten still allowed water to seep through making the timer useless.
