High quality for money!
So I have a couple of those basic $10 headlamps. You know, the ones that use 3 triple A batteries and put out a nice beam, great for basic night tasks. Well since I want to do a lot of night hiking and winter backpacking, I know I need something with longer battery life, so I don't get stranded out there on the trails, deep in the woods without a light. I've gotten by with the cheaper headlamps and carrying a few backup batteries but I know this is flirting with failure and so I picked this up. WOW! First impressions are, it's far above twice the quality of those little basic headlamps, but only twice the money. Don't buy this for basic night tasks like just taking the dog out for a walk or taking out the trash, or other simple, quick night tasks. This is much heavier and brighter for that. You also couldn't use this around camp, inside your tent for anything, as it's simply far too bright for that. You wouldn't try to use it for reading, like you would a little basic 10$ range headlamp. Far too bright and far too heavy. This is for when you need bright "work" duty light at night and need to count on several hours of battery life. This no doubt will be perfect for my winter backpacking trips. The battery pack is also the charger itself. The 3 batteries are rechargeable and replaceable. It can also be used as a backup power bank to charge other devices, like your phone etc. That's handy!Overall, at this time, for $20 I don't see how this can be beat for your dollars worth! My ONLY "complaint" if you will, or "if I made it" thing that I would change, would be to swap out the strobe setting and replace it for one more dim setting instead. The max bright is far too bright for what I need, and even it's dim setting, isn't a whole lot dimmer, and the strobe I'll never use anyway. In the event of an emergency, I could just wave my hand in front of it to get someones attention, so strobe is overused on these lamps imo. No one will use it. I'd rather dim it down one more time and extend the bat life over 12 hrs instead. It's much brighter than I need to light my way in pitch black on a hiking trail, that's for sure and I suppose 12 hrs is more than enough on it's "low" if you can call it that lol setting, that, I suppose the sun would be up before these died, even in a long, winter hike emergency camping bug out, so I guess all is good anyway with more brightness than required for night hiking. You push/pull to increase, decrease the beam and it's strong enough to stay put too. the tilt down is very higher quality "click" settings. Very firm and click steps if you will, firmly holds it in whatever degree tilt you put it in. So firm, unlike those cheap 10$ ones, this one isn't going to slip/ tilt on it's own, not even if you run and jump! You have to firmly tilt it up and down. The straps feel very nice too and adjust very nicely. Again, higher quality than those found on the $10 lamps. Too small to fit a hardhat. This is to fit the head only, so you'd need to buy larger straps if you want to put it in a hardhat. I think I would use a solid mount system to a hardhat myself, rather than a strap system anyway. Something like a gopro mount, I'd likely rig up myself if I wanted that option.I'm sure there are better headlamps out there but I sure as heack wont be needing anything beyond this for any of my needs! For the 20 bucks I was blown away upon opening the box! I can't imagine what those $100 price ranged ones must be like, if 20 bucks can buy you this!

Hubby loves it.
My husband is a master plumber by trade. He works late hours and he needs to see the hole he’s in, digging up or see in a crawl space he’s about to go in. He loves this lamp on his head. Frees his hands. The battery life is great. The brightness is very bright. It’s like a flood light on your head. He said this is the first “winning gift” I ever gave him. And we have been together for 8 years- ha! Sooo yeah! Get it.

Falsely advertised as 10k lumens
Not 10k lumens. Closer to 8k lumens. Battery life is decent. Headset is very heavy and clunky. Battery case is cheaply made and rubber terminal plugs do not seal properly.

Only comes with charging "cord", you must have compatible "charger" to recharge batteries.
Absolutely no product booklet or info with light. Brightness is great as is choice between hi or low setting. Use to enter and exit woods while hunting before or after dark, great safety feature. Don't know about battery life yet, motion detection not applicable.

Great light
The light is perfect for me at work its a little on the heavy side, the battery life could be a little bit more

Charger broke.
Loved the headlight and it had great battery life and super bright but the charger stopped working after 8 months. Seller was wonderful. Headlight has a 2yr warranty on it and since they no longer carried the model seller refunded payment so I could buy a different model.

Product was broken
We purchased the product to help provide light when cleaning air conditioner and other products. It would probably be fine, but was broken. We managed to hold it together to get it to work, but that was awkward and made it very difficult to use. So we really are not using it.

Very bright but was open, repackaged
It is suuuuuper bright. It lights up my house when the lights are on. It does twist to make the light wide and cover a big area up close or to make a very bright beam that goes far away. So I am very happy with that part of it. It does exactly what is advertised and the pictures of how bright it is are accurate. The downside: The plasric that holds the batteries is super light weight and seems fragile, it hasnt broken but I worry if you threw it into a bag and actually took it anywhere or were rough with putting the batteries in, you will break it. Mine was also open inside the amazon shipping box, none of it was inside the bubble wrap, and seemed to have been repackaged.Overall, Im happy with it, if it holds up through a few adventures I will get another one. The brightness is wonderful.
