Easy to use!
I have many cassettes, some of them are deleted from the play list and have not been produced as cds. I go to places like Value Village to sort and have got some nice treasures. This player is a nice size and uses 2 AA batteries, it would have been better if it had come with hookup to electrical outlet. Unlike some players it has a nice speaker, it has an outlet for earphones and has play, stop and fast forward buttons. For it's size and price it is a nice product and hope that it works for many years to come.

Only Marginally Better Than a Paperweight
So, besides the motors to drive the rewind and fast-forward functions being absolute crap and 9 times out of 10 not working at all and the Audio Out sound quality being that of sticking two blown tweeters in your ears, it’s okay.It plays* tapes out of a terrible speaker and has the build quality of toy you bought for your least favorite child. (*if your tape is seated properly, if not, it’s just noise.)As I said before, the motor to drive the Rewind and Fast-Forward functions barely work, and on mine (i’m hoping it’s just mine because if not, jeeeeeez), sound like a dentist’s drill against brick and it’s only rewinded (rewound?) once for me on a new tape, you could leave it running for hours and have it maybe return a few seconds of tape, fast-forward is much of the same but it actually kinda works? Like, it goes forward but not too far? As if you said “yeah, the McD*nald’s is down the block” but it was actually a few feet away, it works regardless I guess. Anyways, audio! We all know that cassette tape audio isn’t flac lossless whatever but, is it supposed to sound like a 1800s telephone? No! Yet, here we are with this thing sounding like if you described a song without singing it through a toaster oven baked telephone. Build quality, it’s cheap plastic you can break with the slightest of force and i always feel uncomfortable closing the lid with a tape in, it’s gonna slide out or fall and then you have a scuff on a perfectly good tape that doesn’t deserve to be played in this machine quite honestly. I haven’t tried the “USB Player” or recording capabilities but who will with how horrid this thing is? Like, it can’t be good.Save your money buying this and look for an older cassette player from back in the day, they’re quite easy to repair and probably will cost you a dollar at a thrift store, plus it’ll be going towards the community instead of J*ff B*zo’s wallet and some random company’s bottomline. Thanks for reading my dumb rant.

I am happy I found just what I was Looking for
I’m happy I found what I was Looking for.I was looking for a cassette player just like the old ones, so my father which past 90 Can listen to his cassettesI bought some of the Upgrade converter, But the buttons are different than he was used to be in the old Sony Walkman, I was looking for one just like the old ones, and Im really happy I found this just what I was looking for, Price is really inexpensive according to the old Sony which used to sell for about 50 bucks, he have it for about 2 months already he use it every day, happened to be it works great. Will keep you posted in few months

Good
I bought it summer 2019 and it still works. When it’s low on battery the sound quality is very bad, and it makes a whirring noise that I’m never sure if other people can hear, so I’m embarrassed to use it in public. My dad has a box of old tapes and I’ve been having a great time using it to listen to them

Good product, but because of earplugs, impossible to use.
I liked the product, sound quality was good, easy to use. Except, couldn't use it because the earplugs would not fit in my ears. Too big (or too small), not sure which, but they would not stay. Never had this problem before.

Lyss cassette player review
This is a great cassette player. The player is small and well made. The included speaker works well as long as your expectations aren't unrealistic. The price is great as well. If you have old cassettes this item is a great way to listen to them. There is no reverse button, only stop, play and fast forward but you can flip the tape around to rewind if you wanted to. The player is small and compact and easily portable. I would definitely recommend this item.

batteries
I put new batteries in and wouldn't come on. after stewing for several days I was getting ready to send back but I decided to try 2 more batteries and low and behold it works. I'm so happy I decided to change them out. the sound is wonderful. I'm listening to a statler brothers tape now and am amazed at the quality of the sound. I'm getting ready to retire and I wanted this to use while walking on my treadmill. thinking about ordering another one just so if I wear this one out i'll have a backup. lol. thanks again for a great product. as far as I'm concerned theres more for the buck here. very affordable and mobile but plays way to fast.
This "Walkman" like cassette player works well, is light and used 2x AA batteries. I bought it because it has a built-in speaker. It works ok but it is not loud. I understand that because it doesn't use much power. My biggest issue with it it that the speed is off. It plays it bit too fast. You can't blame my old tapes as that would cause dragging not fast playback. Doesn't quite sound like I'm listening to "The Chipmunks" but it is enough for me to notice and be a little annoyed by it. However for what I paid for it ( around $16.00) I did not expect great sound quality, or manufacturing perfection, so I will not seek a replacement or refund as it still works for my needs. I just wish the playback was at the correct speed.
