WüsthofGourmet 6-Piece Knife Block Set

We ordered these for my parents for Christmas. They have had the same set of dull knives for years, and we thought they could use a new set. They love the knives and said they work wonderfully! We are excited to continue to gift them some knives by this company.

Great knives

There are three knives in this set for $190, plus tax. These are stamped steel and the chef’s knife is probably the best of the lot. It is thick enough to handle well and nicely balanced.There’s a serrated utility knife that is okay. Can cut through a tomato but with the sharp edge on the chef’s knife, the bigger knife seems to do a better job.Paring knife is small, maybe too small for my hands. It’s much thinner steel and the handle makes it seem dinky and hard to hold. Scissors are good out of the box. Block has a smaller footprint on a counter top.Overall, don’t think I can recommend this set. It has limited value with one good knife, the chef’s knife, with two very average to low average knives.I have a smaller Wusthof Classic Chef Knife that I love and use a lot and lots of other knives. Cooked for a living many years ago in some higher end restaurants and still am pretty good with a cooking knife.This set just doesn’t seem to be a good value for the price.
