I've been dyeing my hair for ages at home and this was the first time I used Lime Crime. The color payoff was good. Compared to other dyes this was crazy messy. It stuck to and stained everything- my skin, my counter, my shower...Normally that's par for the course but this was so much more than what I'm used to. It took days to remove the stains. Then it irritated my skin like crazy where it stained. I thought it was just an allergy, but where my daughter came into contact with stained running spots in the bathtub she broke out too. It's just really crazy how freaking long the stains run and stick. I've never used a color that didn't require a developer so I don't know it it has to do with the type of dye or not, but this hasn't been a great experience. I'm covered in hives. Never dealt with this from a dye before.

Who wouldn't want a pretty charcoal root? Sigh, big mistake. It fades in about a week... first day it's beautiful then it goes to a plumish purple and quickly blue then a funky shade of green... horrible product. After a month of weekly touch ups trying to get it to stay the charcoal color it claims to be I give up! Will not buy again !!!!

I added my hair before, after and after many washes. This color does fade quick but I didn’t even have to lighten my strawberry blonde hair to achieve a magenta color. I love this color to death! I saved half a bottle for over a month to touch up and it came out remarkably well for stretching it out with conditioner!

I put this product over one of the unicorn purple colors and I can’t believe how bright it was on my hair because I didn’t lighten it. It does seem to run easily so try not to wash often if you can. I usually use 2 of these but for some reason I got by on just one.

My son was so excited about having green hair. We followed all the directions, he has medium brown hair so to begin with it only gave him a tent of green but you could see it in the daylight. Sadly I did not last even for a few days. Super disappointing

Very easy to apply. Intense even color. I put down plastic drop cloth to protect countertop. I used it to touch up my green between salon visits. Worked well on sections of hair that were previously bleached as well as on my natural medium -light brown roots. Didn't stain my shower during rinsing. Washed it once since the day I used it and the color is still intense.

I have mixed feelings about this dye ,The color is so bright and does work however , this bleeds too much! I rinsed it once dryed it but while brushing / styling it it was turning my hands blue ,I rinsed it again because I thought maybe I didn’t rinse it right to begin with and STILL even with hair dry I can’t brush it or touch it withoutIt making me blueMy hands neck and forehead are all blue just from touching my dry hair

I've used a plethora of colored hair dye, and compared to anything I've tried this was the WORST. You're better off spending half the price on Manic Panic! Even though I have dark hair, I had the ends lightened as I've colored them many times before. But as you can see from the pic, it barely did anything. Left it in for over an hour. There's like, a HINT of a tint, as I hold it in direct light. For $17??? What a joke. The most aggravating part is that IT RUBS OFF ON EVERYTHING...hands, clothes...god forbid you run your fingers through your hair...it ruined one of my favorite sweaters!! Oh, and the floor of my shower is now stained blue, just from rinsing the crap out. Last, the jar is TINY! Such a rip off. Terrible, don't buy it.
