Used these for the first time the other day for staining a sliding door. Very handy, especially when you dont have to wait for one side of the door to dry. Just finish staining one side, flip it and start on the other side and let dry (same should apply to paint). End result was great, easy to install and take apart with just one screw for each stand. I put 4 on my door (2 on each end). I would imagine you could get by with one on each side, but since we were putting pressure on the door while staining we thought it best to stabilize the heavy door. Highly recommend this product.

I wish I had these when I painted the first 8 doors. I took my basic hollow core doors and with a little 1/4 plywood, converted them to two-panel doors.When it comes to painting, I have little patience for waiting for the paint to dry so I can flip and paint the other side. I wasn’t sure if the product would work for me so I only ordered a 4 pack (enough for one door). However, my impatience for pairing made me want to use two for the bottom of each door and paint them upright to get both done in one shot. I also planned to spray them.Long story short, if you have a controlled environment to paint (no wind, cover for overspray), etc) the doors will stand just fine. I happened to have a flat space where I didn’t have to worry about overspray and they turned out beautifully.To comment on some of the reviews that mention the screws. They are cheap screws. A few things that will help: Pay attention to the bit you use not all philips bits are made the same. This screw does better with a shallow, fatter philips bit. First drill pilot holes to avoid splitting and make it easier for the screw to go in (pic attached). Also, go slow and apply moderate pressure. These screws will strip pretty easily if your drill keeps popping off the screw head.Overall it’s a good product and I would purchase more if I had a need for them in the future

I bought the large set ($160) for painting my kitchen cabinets. The concept is good and I was very impressed at first. The problem came when I removed the screws from the racks. The screws are VERY cheap and strip out. (Yes, I am a female, but my husband had the same problem) I would like to see the company address this problem...and to provide me with a good quality of screws.

Elevated the doors so there are no paint streaks on the edges. Good purchase.

I ordered these as a gift for someone. They liked them and used them to paint kitchen cabinets.

I used them to paint doors standing up. Super versatile. Easy to move in garage to dry. Great product!

Great item - not used as yet. Having the ability to paint both sides of doors an allowing to dry with this item will be time saving.
