I wanted these forever, and I was so excited when I finally bought them- and they just turned out to be a disappointment. We used them under a blacklight, and although the yellow and orange tiles get a decent glow, the other colors barely glow at all. If it wasn’t a glow in the dark set I’d have appreciated that they included the whole rainbow but the problem is that blues and purples just don’t create a glowing effect- which is the whole point of these tiles! The orange and green are okay but still not bright enough to be exciting. Also, the strength of the magnets is pretty dismal. I use them in combination with ShapeMags tiles and the difference is pretty stark. The Picasso tiles magnets are so flimsy that it’s hard to get buildings to stand up and if you try and move a structure it just crumbles. This is a really fun idea but I just wish it had been better executed.

Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of the first 2 broken tiles. I thought it was a fluke. We have many many sets of Magna Tiles and Picasso Tiles and have never had a broken one with daily play until now. This set we gave our boys for Christmas. We use them on a light table, so smaller builds. We have had 3 broken and 1 cracked. This is incredibly disappointing and terrifying with a 10 month old in the house who has great fine motor skills and tries to put everything in her mouth. I do not feel this set is safe AT ALL even for my 4 year old boys. I don’t think we will be able to support this brand anymore. Please please check your tiles and be careful when your kids are playing with them.

They did NOT glow in the dark as stated on the box. We had a set of 100 Picasso tiles we loved and decided to add these they did not glow in the dark, very dissatisfied as a gift .

Great set but did not glow even in a room without windows

As tiles these are fine. But I wish I had gone with a different set since the glow is barely perceptible even after "charging" with my cell phone flashlight.
