Can this be used outdoors for a sump pump pipe?

I used it on a discharge line to drain my in-ground pool. I'm not sure how it would be for a suction line but it is fairly rigid and it has held up fine to UV in FL sun.

can you cut anywhere along tube and clamp to 1.5" PVC? Outdoor nderground sump pump drain cracked.
