NOW Foods Supplements, Cranberry Caps with Added Vitamin C, Healthy Urinary Tract*, 100 Veg Capsules

I began using this product a year ago to help combat chronic UTIs. My infections began when I got married twenty-four years ago, and as for the cause of the infections, I'll let you figure that out. I have been on a low dose of antibiotics for years. I took the antibiotic as needed to knock the infections out before they became uncontrollable. I started taking NOW brand Cranberry Concentrate twice daily. If I felt an infection coming on I would double up and take two pills twice daily. The Cranberry Concentrate helped lesson the frequency I had to take my antibiotic significantly. At times I also took NOW brand Oregano Oil capsules which kills ecoli bacteria and is the cause of my infections. I highly recommend Cranberry Concentrate to prevent UTIs. Oddly enough I have not had to take much of anything for my UTIs in the last 9 months since beginning yoga. I began doing a small amount of yoga everyday to keep my body stretched to prevent injury. I have used two Yogilaties videos by Jonathan Urla which I got off Amazon. The workouts are divided into fifteen minute segments which fit perfectly into my morning routine. After several months of doing this it occurred to me that I had not had a problem with UTIs. My UTIs have gone from chronic to almost completely nonexistent. You may ask, "sure, how do you know"? Good question. I know my body very well. I know that nothing has cured my UTIs for twenty-four years. I know only Cranberry Concentrate, Oregano Oil and antibiotics have helped. Diet and exercise has never done anything. Suddenly, the only change in my life is the addition of Yoga. Let me mention though that one time I consulted a chiropractor on UTIs, and he said that manipulating the position of organs in that area can bring relief. I never went to him for this, because it sounded dumb to me. Now I think maybe he was right. Maybe yoga with all the twisting is moving my organs around on the inside which is keeping the bacteria from traveling up the tubes to the bladder to cause problems. If you have chronic UTIs consider trying the Yogilates videos. They come in beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I'm using intermediate right now. I know this sounds farfetched, but I know what it is like to suffer with UTIs, and I know someone out there might be helped by this information. I love Amazon!

I've tried various versions of cranberry and these are high quality and work well.

I use daily works perfectly. If I miss a few days I know to start taking again. No taste easy to swallow capsule.

Got this for an aging female dog that began having recurrent UTI’s due to struvite crystals (a common dog problem). Tried prescription food to control the crystals but she had an allergy to that food that made her sick. Internet searches recommended Cranberry Powder Supplements sprinkled over dog food to keep the UTI’s from starting. She LOVES the taste! It was so easy to pop open a capsule & sprinkle the contents over her food. That lasted about 2 mo’s & guess who has a UTI & on antibiotic again? Yep. Asked vet why the cranberry powder didn’t work (thought I just didn’t give her enough) & vet said it CAN’T work. Said it would take so much cranberry that it would make dogs sick & so it’s just not possible w/ cranberry supplements unless using toxic amounts of it & then a UTI would be the least of the dog’s problems! She’s now on a PH lowering tablet that changes her urine ph so she doesn’t have to change her food again & stop the formation of struvite crystals which is what was causing her UTI’s. Thankfully I knew to get her vetted w/o putting it off each time she started licking herself more back there & it saved her kidneys from damage! As for the NOW Cranberry Caps I have left, they’ll be an extra treat sprinkled open once in a while over her food since she loved the taste do much. I always look to NOW brand for supplements because they are trustworthy to actually be what they say they are. But now I know it can’t help doggie UTI problems regardless of popular belief.

Works great! Good for great urinary health!

Great for maintaining urinary health. However, they are kind of large gel capsules to swallow. I don’t know how to get around that.

My daughter is disabled and has multiple medical issues. Urinary tract infections have plagued her since early childhood (she is 29). As time went on these infections became harder and harder to treat and she was getting sicker with each one. We were looking for anything that might help. We decided to try these cranberry pills. She has been taking one in the morning and one in the evening for almost a year and has not had one infection. Not only has she not had urinary infections, her general health has been better and she has not had to be on any antibiotics. I would recommend this to anyone with urinary tract problems. I have heard it bothers some peoples stomach, but we have not had any trouble with that.

I actually buy these for my dogs to help with their urinary tract. Especially after they both had Lyme disease. I can't comment on how they taste, but my dogs don't seem to mind. However that's not a good indicator considering one of my dogs is disgusting and eats poop! Ewwww..He's just gross. Good value for money and have only varied slightly in price throughout the years I have been buying them.
