Q: About how many cups are in this package?

about 4 cups. It's a big package. It stores well in the ziplock bag it came in and is lasting a long time. I bought it to make kimchee. I have used it in many other recipes that require chili peppers. Very good product.

Q: where is this stuff really made? this says Canada but another page with the same product says PRC.

PRC and P.R.O.C. both stand for mainland China. What's telling is that it does not say, "Gochugaru" peppers.

Q: Scale of 1 to 10, how hot is it?

I use this gochugaru for my home-made kimchi. To me, it does not seem very hot, maybe 3 or 4 on the scale you mentioned.

Q: How many calories are these?

The pepper will have about 20 Kcal [Calories] per tablespoon of the powder.
