...be aware that the alarm on/off switch is too small and hard to find when you wake up in the morning. The same applies to the other two controls (time and alarm), which need to be moved either with your nail or your fingertip.Having said that, is it a very good design, heavy for its size and the night vision is good enough to read in total darkness. I think that Mondaine has a commercial relationship with Luminox since the tritium tubes are just like the Luminox watches ones. It is also very silent so prob you will not be able to hear the ticks.Bottom line: if you think the look beats the other practical issues, go ahead and get one (unless you are willing to spend even more money and decide to get the Swiss Army one - but with no night vision!).

its really small - just a few inches in diameter (4" maybe) but its an excellent product (had for about a month). High quality stainless edge for clean modern look. Clock and alarm performs flawlessly. switch on back is a bit tough to turn on and off when you are getting up but not horrible... overall an excellent purchase. The feel is also heavy and well built thanks to the solid stainless casing.

This clock is beautifully simple, and the tritium lighting on the face allow you to read the time in complete darkness all night long.Be aware though that the face is quite small, 35mm or about 1 3/8" in diameter, and I found that even using my finger tip, changing the alarm time can be a bit difficult.Other than that, a great looking and working alarm clock.

Habe mir den Mondaine Reiswecker gekauft, weil mein alter Reisewecker den Geist aufgegeben hat.Vom Design her hebt er sich wohltuend von vielen anderen, vor allen Dingen Plastikweckern, ab.Er hat ungefähr die Größe eines 5 DM Stücks, so dass er perfekt auf Reisen mitgenommen werden kann.Der Wecker ist relativ schwer, was ihm eine gute Standfestig- und Wertigkeit verleiht.Er läßt sich sehr einfach einstellen und das Digitaluhrwerk ist nicht zu hören, soll heißen kein störendes Ticken, wie es manche Digitaluhren haben.Der Weckmechanismus ist für so einen kleinen Wecker absolut in Ordnung.Zum Reisen liegt ein passendes Lederetui dabei.Tagsüber, bzw. bei genügend Licht ist er sehr gut abzulesen.Die Leuchtziffern sind bei Dunkelheit bzw. in der Nacht nicht ganz so gut abzulesen, daher nur 4 Sterne.

die Uhr hat Leuchtziffern und Zeiger, die wirklich in der Nacht gut sichtbar sind. Bei 12 Uhr ist die Leuchtfarbe sogar anders, so dass man sofort im Bild ist, wenn man nach der Uhrzeit schaut. Ich vergebe nur 4 Punkte, weil die Uhr in einer schon einmal geöffeneten (ziemlich unprofessionell) Verpackung ausgeliefert wurde. Da sie funktioniert, habe ich sie aber behalten und nicht retourniert.

For - solidly built and easy to read dial. Against - dial to alter alarm time is fiddly to operate, and the lack of differentiation of the 12 o'clock position makes it easy to set its time incorrectly.
