Beyond expectations!
This a great light fixture that provides a major punch to my dining room. It definitely takes center stage and holds its own. The packaging broke down a bit during shipping, but the product itself was undamaged. It took about an hour and half to assemble the first five rows of rods and an hour to do the second half. I wore kitchen gloves to fend off blisters. I had almost no trouble screwing in the rods and didn't have to use the tool they sent to help. They suggest grouping the short rods on the top and bottom with the long rods in the middle. I used long (12 inch) and short (8 inch) rods randomly on every row to create a spherical rather than an oblong shape. I assembled the top half, then hung the chandelier and finished assembling the bottom half. I don't know how you could assemble the whole thing without hanging it because I don't know how you'd support it. If you hang it without the rods in the bottom, add 6 1/2 inches (10 inches for long rod) from the ball at the bottom of the base to the height you want it off the table.I got white globe bulbs as well and love the look both on and off. Make sure it's on a dimmer switch so you can enjoy all this gem has to offer. The ombre effect is truly spectacular. During assembly, you'll hate yourself. Once it's up, you'll think you're the luckiest person in the world.

Stunning! Absolutely love it!
Stunning! Really makes a statement in our high ceiling entryway. Compliments galore! Assembly takes time, patience, and a bottle of wine! Literally 2+ hours, but completely worth it, especially considering the great price compared to other similar options.

Do Not Buy!
Could’ve been great. But arrived with fewer than half of the spokes needed and no response when I initially contacted seller. So I’m left with a half broken light fixture and out the money. Beware!

A lot of work but worth it!
Absolutely beautiful Sputnik chandelier! I was thinking about purchasing the 2-5k chandelier until I stumbled upon this one! I'm extremely happy with it! It looks just as expensive and good quality. I only gave this 4 out of 5 stars because of assembly! What a pain in the fingers! You need to screw each spear in individually which took roughly 5 full hours! Had some serious blisters from this as well. Very worth though after the electrician came to install it! Lights are not included so I chose white bulbs from a specialty lighting store.

Showstopper (but, assembly is required)!
Quite a stunning ceiling centerpiece! Be prepared for about 2 hours of putting it all together (with 2 sets of hands), but I think the beauty is worth it. Don't forget to pick up your bulbs! They do not come with.

Perfect
I absolutely love this light. Some observations. We did not get the correct number of "spikes" but it didn't matter because no one can see it all at once. We just fit in odds and ends. It wasn't hard to put together took a little patience took my hubby and I about an hour. Some have mentioned the seam making it look cheap. I worried about that from the pictures but the seam in mine is barely noticeable. We had a piece of styrofoam laying around being able to balance it in that made putting on spikes easier and made it easier to handle during installation. If you need to call an electrician to install have them also put a dimmer and make sure you get dimmable L.E.D.s and a dimmer for L.E.Ds or they will burn out quickly

Not worth the money
Although I like the finished look of this light, it's not worth the money. It is cheaply made- the gold ball in the middle has a crude seam where it was put together. Worst of all the center ball piece was painted AFTER the holes were drilled for the metal rods. This necessitated tapping and screwing out the paint from each of the 256 holes before the metal rods could be screwed in😡! The whole assembly process took 3.5 hours. Buyer beware.

Hell to put together but beautiful!
This took hours to put together because some of the threading/spikes fit together well and some were very difficult to insert and screw in (I got blisters doing this). However, I love the final result. Like David Browne, I did not follow the suggested spike pattern as I wanted something more spherical, so you certainly can do this.
