Select Increments29-JLJT-K JLJT Soundbar Pods with Speakers

Once I put my soft top on, my stock speakers just weren’t cutting it, so I decided to try upgrading my sound bar speakers (they seemed the easiest thing to do first). I took a chance on the Select Increments pod/Kicker speaker package and am 100% happy with the choice. The quality and quantity of sound that the Kicker speakers is exactly what I was looking for (I feel like they’re much better than the stock speakers). The look is great, as well.Another benefit bus with this experience was with customer support. I forgot the harnesses in the house when I brought everything out to do the install (the install itself was super easy, directions were pretty good). I looked up Select Increments, called and someone answered right away. Long story short, the guy on the line managed to get me to remember that I had the harnesses, he skillfully overlooked my duh moment, and took the time to explain the install and a quick explanation of the difference between the new and old speakers. I really appreciate a company that takes the time to make sure the customer doesn’t hang up until they’re satisfied.

Don't get me wrong, the speakers give a much crisper sound than the outgoing stock units, but, they lack any bass resonance. The original system was, frankly, tuned better (the 4" speakers were ported to allow the bass to resonate through the sound bar and fill the cabin better). However, the stock system wasn't very loud and basically cut out at 70% volume; if you had even one window open it was nearly impossible to hear your music. These are much louder, and more crisp in the mids and highs, but lack the resonance as they're not ported/tuned properly for this enclosure. Overall it fit my need (crisp music at louder volume so I could have the top off), and with some shifting of the balance (moved from center to rear) and fiddling with the equalizer it's still an improvement. Just be realistic in your expectations.

pulled the OEM speakers and installed the replacements. I did cut a 2" hole over the section that housed the factory tweeter to allow the sound to flow. Why waste a speaker by covering it up. Sounds good..... Glad I made the purchase.

I ordered the JL-JT Pods with Kicker speakers and had an installation issue. The box I structed the buyer to call Kicker if there were any issues, but unfortunately, Kicker was completely rude and hung up on after I told them I bought it off Amazon. I reached out to 4 Wheeler Supply who sold the pods on Amazon. Sean took my information to see what he could do. An hour later he had me in the phone with Stu from Select Increments who ultimately just decided to replace the speaker. These guys were amazing. That's the kind of customer service you don't see a lot anymore.

These speaker housing are high quality and well made! I was excited to get these in my Wrangler only to find that Jeep moved the overhead lights into the roll bar speaker housings on the 2024 JL Wrangler. I hope they stick with that design and Select Increments makes a set. I will definitely purchase once they are available.

Excellent speakers. Would definitely recommend.

Fit and finish is nice. Very easy to install. Better than stock, but the bar was set very low with the stock speakers. Noticeable difference in the high notes, but midrange and bass is barely better than stock. I had high expectations for this setup, but the shallow plastic soundbar prevents any good bass reproduction even from the larger, higher quality speakers. Not a drastic improvement as some have claimed.

For the price they’re definitely worth it
