A great alternative to the 'spinner' carry-on bags
I'm amazed at how few bags have these traits:1) Small enough to fit the international carry-on size regulations2) Light3) NOT a Spinner-bag (the ones with 4 wheels on the bottom). I don't need 2 of those wheels on an ultralight carry-on bag... needless complexity and weight (plus they stick out and snag on everything). I don't need to dance with my luggage and spin in tiny circles (especially bags of this small size)... I'm dragging them in a hurry through an airport, so I need SPEED, stability and compactness... not agility. This bag just arrived from Amazon. I'm surprised at the number of interior pockets/panels/zipppers there are... I would have preferred just a bigger central compartment and a lighter weight, but I can see how some folks would like these features. It's hard to tell in most of the product photos, but the material that most of the bag is made from is plasticized fabric. I didn't realize how plastic and shiny the material would look. It's probably VERY water resistant, but I was expecting a normal Cordura / fabric appearance from all of the photos. I'd prefer a normal fabric look, but the plastic is functional and that's what this piece of luggage is about, right? As a tall guy, I really appreciate the long pull-handle. It's also nice that the pull-handle has 2 poles... they give you some side-to-side stability as you hustle through the airport.-------------------------EDIT from about 6 months later:We got this bag for my wife, looking for an ultra-light, wheeled carry-on bag fitting international rules (a bit smaller than the US carry-on regulations) and it's perfect for her. It's been with her for 2 solo trips and she has managed the bag easily through airports and planes easily. She has been super-happy with it. It has also been on 2 joint trips with the 2 of us, where I'm usually doing luggage porter duty. I really appreciate the wide-set wheels and long, 2-pole telescoping pull handle (I'm tall). I love our 20+ year-old Victorinox carry-ons, but the single pole handles and narrower-set wheels have always set them twisting-flopping along behind me in an airport or cobblestone street when I get in a hurry or hit some bumps. This bag is MUCH more stable. For someone who knows how to travel light, this bag is all you need for a long weekend away in the city or 4-5 days at the beach. Travel is about the memories you bring home, not the stuff that you take along with you.FYI: I liked this bag so much that I just ordered the Osprey Rolling Transporter 40 Duffel for myself. It's a close twin to this one (same wheels, frame and materials), but is missing the laptop sleeve and some of the internal organization pouches.... exactly what I wanted because I rarely travel w/ a laptop now and I'd rather have a bit more storage space in the main compartment. Osprey also makes a few similar wheeled duffels in this size that have backpack straps as options (but that kind of travel is probably behind me :).

Great carry-on for International travel
I bought 4 of them for travel with my family as Amazon returned items to save $$. They’re in perfect shape, lightweight, and have the double handle shown in the product photos so I can attach a small personal item on top when navigating through the airport. The product video shows a single handle and zippered pocket on the back. This bag doesn’t have that back pocket but the front pocket would work for a magazine and flip flops. Also the bottom handle is black plastic not the silver metal like in the product video. This bag also has a padded spot for a laptop. I’m excited to travel with it! I love my other Osprey bags and suitcase and I’m sure this will be no different. We plan to mainly use these as a carry-on to protect it from baggage handling.

Love this bag!
Bought the bag and left the next week for Peru for 8 days. The bag had plenty of space (I used packing compression bags) and was easy to use. Definitely my favorite travel bag - love the backpack straps as an option.

Lightweight & Fits Intl. Carry-on Requirements
Backstory: I was flying to Europe and wanted to travel light, but also have what I needed for a week. My airline had a carryon weight maximum of 17.6 lbs. (8 K) and every bag was weighed prior to boarding. I was originally looking for a backpack type suitcase, but I knew I would need a personal item as well, so I thought it would be easier to have a carryon with a rolling option, and use a backpack for my personal item.PROS: Light at about 5.5 lbs so I could put more in than I could in my 9.5 lb. 4-wheel bag. Rollers came in handy for long stretches of walking through airports and hotels. (I’m talking two miles of walking on one day with the bag!) Easy to organize so I didn’t need to use packing cubes. Carried what I needed it to with room for more, so I could bring back some items if I wanted to check the bag on my return. Fit in all the overhead bins on four flights, so I never had to check the bag.CONS: Until I got the hang of it, I repeatedly pinched my finger somehow when extending the handle. I never have that problem on my suitcase, but this handle is not the same design or quality. The handle itself has ridges along the bottom where your fingers grip it. Those ridges are tough on the fingers when you are pulling the case for a long time. Four wheels just has more maneuverability than two, so it was always a bit challenging to get down plane aisles. The handle set-up was my main reason for a lower score. I discovered later they make a 4-wheel option so it would be interesting to compare the two. Finally, I did get tired of carrying the backpack at times, so I placed it on top of the bag which was good and bad. When on uneven pavement, the two wheels often twisted the bag in such a way as to throw the weight of my backpack to one side just enough to take the whole set-up down. One solution to that might be to consider the additional personal item bag that is made for this roller bag. Might be worth looking into.I can’t speak to the durability of the material if you ever have to check the bag, but even the backpack style cases I researched had a similar material that is supposed to be quite tough even though it’s light. Since it’s rubbery, it does have some water-resistance, too, so I’m fine with the material it’s made of.Overall, a good option for traveling light, and if necessary, you can carry it by the side handle—which I did in three of the airports I was in that had staircases to and from the planes!

Excellent carry on!
We purchased two Transporter Wheeled Carry (38L) for our trip from the USA to Europe. Out trip would include domestic and international flights, taxis, trains, stairs, small gravel pathways, and cobblestone roads so we needed baggage to meet and exceed the task! I can confidently say our Transporters met the challenge! The bag is durable, compressible and rolls over all the above mentioned with ease! Super happy and will recommend to a friend!

Very disappointing
Very disappointing. I have two Osprey backpacks that are great. This bag was not. The front pocket was too small to use, the outer material felt shoddy, the inner webbing felt flimsy and the zippers stuck at every corner. It claims it holds 38 liters but it didn’t hold my gear from the old carry-on I was replacing. Osprey needs to rethink and redesign this bag. I returned it.
