Not memory foam, no cooling gel. It seems to be just normal foam with a zip cover. The foam part is covered by what seems to be water resistant material which cannot be removed. It's ok and usable, but not at all what it claims to be. I didn't return it as i urgently needed something.

I waited to write a review until my dog slept on it for awhile. He loves it. He's a 10 year old Weimaraner weighing about 90 lbs. He can lay out fully on the bed, on his side, head to tail. His body doesn't hang off at all. It's also wide enough for him to curl up in a ball in the middle of it. I feel it was a bit pricey but I want him to be comfortable as he's aging.

I bought this for our Kiki (Cross Whippet/Staffie) for her 11th birthday. I was thinking ahead long term with this present, bearing in mind her age as it is important to me that our Kiki is kept comfortable whether it be at night or during the day. It is obvious to me that our Kiki loves this dog bed.I would certainly recommend this bed for various reasons :1. The inner part of the bed is made up of memory foam at the base and an upper of cooling gel. This bed not only keeps our Kiki comfortable but keeps her cool in hot weather.2. The outer cover is so soft and is easily unzipped and can be washed in the machine.3. The inner part of the bed is also protected by a waterproof cover which also can be unzipped and washed in the machine.I feel confident in saying that I feel this bed is made to good standards and will last for a long time.

I actually had bought this bed for my 1st dog and it held up for about a year. It ended up with some tears in the front but that could’ve been because my dog scratched it. The foam holds shape and it is easy to clean the cover. I bought my 2nd dog this bed and it looks amazing. Would recommend this to anybody who needs a reliable bed.

My aging Irish wolfhound has been having trouble getting on my bed and I hated for her to lay on the hard floor. She took to this bed quickly. My poodle even keeps trying to lay on this one instead of her own tempur pedic bed. She gets hot often but doesn’t seem to be panting too much when laying on it

The outer cover ripped and the zipper broke as I was putting it on the very first time. 3 stars cause I think my dog will like it.
