MLF Eye Clock, George Nelson Designed Antique Retro Wall Clock(All Nelson Series Available)

I hope to change my rating to 5 stars when I get my second clock. I LOVE this clock. It arrived yesterday and about 12 hours after it was hung on the wall it stopped working!! Replaced the battery and it ran for about 5 minutes and quit. Replaced the battery again and nothing, zip, nada. I ordered another one because I love the clock. When it arrives I will pack this one up and send it back. I hope there are no problems with the next clock because this clock is perfect in the space I have it. Shipping was 5 stars, arrived in great shape, very well packed and on time. I can't wait to change this rating to 5 stars.UPDATE: We got the second clock very quickly after I reordered. The shipping speed deserves 5 stars, and the return was hassle-free, possibly due to being a Prime customer, but the second clock arrived without the batteries! and two of the pegs were out of the clock. Fortunately we found the pegs. The clock does keep correct time, so we put in the pegs, took the batteries out of the other clock and kept the clock we put back together but runs well. These are VERY cheaply made clocks -- definitely not worth the money one pays for them, but we love the style and it is perfect where we have it on the wall. Extremely over priced for the quality. I gave three stars because it is a cool looking clock and the second one appears to be keeping time well. Quality is a 1 star, however.

Looks great, and is very well made and packaged.Its box is stapled together and will require a little effort to open... in a good way. It lends to the impression of quality for the clock.The movement has a sweeping second hand and virtually silent.Would recommend.

This clock is very similar to the clock I've seen at Design Within Reach. But with a much lower price. The quality is great and I hope it continues this way. We'll see how it goes.

This is a really cool looking clock. It presents well and is made of good-looking wood and brass. The actual clock portion looks like it comes from a cheap wall clock, though. It runs a little slow.

I believe this is a fake Nelson clock arrived from China with a very steep price as there is no wood it is made of metal. How do I return this there is no English only Chinese

.I owned about 20 original Howard/Nelson clocks from the 40/50/60's at hundreds if not sometimes several thousands of dollars each.I sold them all at auction and always wanted to replenish my walls [one was multi colored and the other strictly black/white renditions] : See attached originals.These meet the specifications, albeit battery operated where mine where electric. Why, Minute hand and color of the hands.Vitra was not allowed to add the minute hand, and not allowed to exactly duplicate the hand colors: I suspect this is now allowed as out of copyrights.I'll be buying the full set, again, and for some, repainting the Asterisk clocks to represent some of the colors we had.BTW: Auction brought me about 500+ per example after paying the auction fees which were EXPENSIVE.
