Toilet shape matters
I have been using this product for three years after three different surgeries and it is held up great on my round toiletHowever, on the enlongated oval toilet, the grips that sit on the toilet seat keeps slipping outward, making the handles fall down, which makes it a fall hazard for a family member with MSIf you push straight up and down for bodyweight, it will work if you push out is when they slip off! We have tightened and overtighten them and still continues to happen on the elongated toilet.Not to mention if a person is big, then it’s not comfortable or wide enough to support bigger people. I may have to buy a different type for that particular toilet.As I mentioned for the round toilet, it’s been perfect for 3+ years!

Best money spent I installed this for my mom since she broke her ankle and it was an easy install and after 2 days of me helping her off the toilet she got up by herself with the handle rails. Gives me peace of mind that she can safely use the bathroom by her self

Width adjustable, easy install, sturdy for heavier people
The safety rails were easy to install on the toilet and seem to be very sturdy. Its width is adjustable and seems appropriate for larger individuals who need extra assistance on and off the toilet.

Terrific product but beware of hidden costs to replace silicone covers
The assist rails work as intended. Construction is sturdy. We purchased two of them. Buyers should be aware that the silicone covers for the metal pieces that sit on the toilet rim under the seat are flimsy and easily rip. The covers slide off the metal pieces. This caused the metal to scratch the underside of the toilet seat. When I called customer service to replace the silicone covers, they are NOT part of the lifetime guarantee. The cost for 4 replacement covers with shipping is $25. So for 2, it is 25% of the price that I paid for one assist bar unit. We have owned the assist bar units for less than a year and they started tearing 5-6 months in.
