Great value
I have an air conditioner on an RV that would throw the breaker every time it went to start up. I thought I would try this first as they told me they needed to replace the air conditioner. I put it in very easy to install turned on the air conditioner and it works fine all it needed was this part, saved me hundreds of dollars.

SAVED COST OF A NEW A/C SYSTEM
The compressor in my A/C system had seized, l installed this hard start booster, was able to get the compressor to start working again, installed a special oil additive to the system which prevents future seize ups and the unit is working fine now it has been about 2 weeks now. Very good product works very well as it was intended.

I think it works?
So, my unit seems to kick on quicker, which is the point, right? I mean I didn't time it exactly, I just knew it was stupid loud. But it definitely isn't any quieter while kicking on. It's still LOUD. But at least it seems to take a few seconds less to actually do so now...maybe something wrong with my fan. An ac technician said its fine and tight and properly lubricated, so I can only assume this is doing okay...if it's doing anything?Man I don't know.

A/C guy recommended his for $150 instead
My a/c guy recommended one of these. Luckily I had already researched YouTube and self-diagnosed the problem so I had this. He read this one; it fit the specs but was smaller than the one he sells. So he said he’d rather use his since he knows it will work. And he got to charge me $150 for his instead of the $10 or $20 I paid for this one. I let him…suffering from 90 degree heat a day made me crazy! So I leave this review as recommendation - in hindsight I would’ve asked him to hook it up and see. Although the service call is $125 to have him come back if it didn’t work - just FYI

It worked for about 6 weeks
Had this sitting in the shed for over a year as a backup. I had to install it about 6 weeks ago, now I am replacing it again with the same I bought 6 weeks ago for another backup. Going to see if I can find a different brand to order this time for a backup.

Easy
Every year the A/C guy comes in and tries to sell me a new unit. This year he showed me my capacitance measurements during the sales pitch. I replaced the existing start capacitor and hard start kit. This might add a few extra weeks to the lifespan of this 20 year old unit.
