Jade: Fighting to the End Paperback – Import, 23 March 2009

After watching Jade on the Living Channel and following her sad story of cancer I decided to get her book to find out a little more about her.I know Jade Goody wasn't everyone's cup of tea but she was an everyday girl that came from a family that had huge problems, no wonder poor Jade was like she was at times, I understand more now I've read her book.How many daughters end up being a mother to their mother at such a young age, as well as putting up with everything her parents put her through?All she ever wanted to do was make a better life for herself, even more so when she had her two lovely little boys who she thought the world of. She wanted to give them everything she'd never had.The media can be cruel and find nothing better then to pull peoples lives apart and try to make things up that aren't there. We all know celebrities have to put up with a huge spotlight looking into both their private and professional lives, which I don't agree with, as we all need space.Jade was very frank in her book about her life and if there was a problem she'd face things straight on. She was a person who said whatever was on her mind and was upfront about everything. To me that's the best way to be, people know where they are with you then.Jade has been criticised in the press for certain things she's said but hey, just think back in the 1970's or 1980's no one would have been too bothered about it. Our world has gone to pc (politically correct) over the years and it's causing lots of problems in everyday life. We shouldn't have to be on our guard all the time and constantly having to watch everything we say or do.Jade never thought she'd die from her cancer, but she wanted to show people how it affects your life and that you should make sure that you should have check ups as you never know what's round the next corner in life.I'm very sorry about Jades death. She wanted to carry on filming whilst she was ill which shocked and horrified many, but by doing that she's already saved lives and hopefully many more lives will be saved because of Jade Goody. :-)I found the book a compulsive and excellent read, any fan of Jades or just someone who wants to read a good autobiography I highly recommend this one, it's a book I'd read again and it's worth every penny. :-)

I love this book and I love Jades story because I went to school with her. The unfortunate details about her humble beginnings were revealed in this book which I had no idea about.I think it’s the most incredible, inspirational story about how a life can be turned around almost overnight through sheer perseverance, hard work and determination to achieve big things in life.I admire Jade so much she was such a strong woman who didn’t take any nonsense from anyone and eventually made something for herself by herself. She is a true inspiration to us all.May God Bless her richly in heaven.

I never really bothered about Jade Goody. But reading this made me realize what a hard life she had and managed to stay strong through things that would have broken most people. Loved this book

THE VISIOUSNESS OF THE PRESS WAS TERRIBLE BUT SHE CAME THROUGH IT LIKE A ROCK STAR, ONLY TO BE CUT DOWN YET AGAIN BY A CRUEL TWIST OF FATE. ONCE I STARTED READING THIS BÒOK I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

To say I enjoyed this book sounds very wrong but I did in a certain way. It was so moving and totally honest. I was never a 'fan' of Jade in her hay day but my goodness, after reading this book I found I liked her very much and for her to have passed over at such a young age leaving two small children is so sad. I hope she is at peace and watching over them every day. Bless her.
