Replacement for my Dahon IosXL Freedrive
This chain cover works as advertized. I replaced my which was lost. Somehow my original FreeDrive came off during a long ride. Maybe is was because I put WD-40 on the chain prior to the ride. I have no idea, maybe something caught on the seam and it peeled off.As a new cover it does make some noise as the installation instructions say. My old Free Drive was silent. I had the old Free Drive for about 4 years, purchased new with the bike.A note on installation - cut the cover at least an inch longer than you think. I have a 1/4" gap now but cut the cover when it was all on the chain and relaxed (so I thought). I had even given it about ~5-6 rings (1/2") extra. A few turn with the crank showed it was too short. Oh well. It took about 20 minutes of effort with doctor's (sphincter probing!) gloves on.There is plenty of cover left. I will put it on another internal gear hub bike I have. Yes, this Freedrive chain cover is for a derailleur-less bike! YOu get 2.5m of cover. After my installation I have 66" left.Do I love the Freedrive Chain Cover? Well, no as I prefer belts to chains. But until my fleet is 100% belted I like using this Freedrive chain cover. AlI my bikes are derailleur-less by the way.

It's a really cool product. Be sure to squish the hose back on itself as much as possible before you cut it. In the process of attaching it to my chain I must have pulled on it, extending the length beyond its rest state. Once I peddled a bit it constricted, leaving a surprisingly large gap.It definitely comes with enough for 2 bikes. So, the second bike I did perfectly.

Useless
The product does not work as advertized. It will not stay on the chain and tends to come off while riding which can be dangerous. My problems with the product may be my fault, but I do not think so.

It's fine
Using this on a beach cruiser. It works ok; installing it was pretty straightforward and I haven't had any trouble with it coming off. It keeps my pant leg clean, which was why I bought it. It does make a buzzing noise which can be a bit annoying, but its not terrible. To start with it also made a big click once per revolution of the chain until I shortened it by an inch which helped quieten it a little.People often comment and ask if it's a belt drive, which would be a much more graceful solution but unfortunately isn't an option on a beach cruiser.

Difficult to install but works
I've been using the Bio:ogic Freedrive Chain Cover for two weeks and it's been performing as it should and doesn't make much noise as some indicated. It's not that easy to install. I suggest using a tool to "spread" the cover outwards while working it over the surface of the bike chain. Once it is on, it does the job.

Works well, no problems, better than chain guard
I saw someone who had this on their bike and my plastic chain guard broke and I couldn't find the replacement because it is for a folding bike. So I googled around and found this. It only works with internal hub bikes. It worked great. It did not come with much instruction. It was a little hard to install (my fingers were aching the next day) because you have to pry it open and nudge it onto the chain bit by bit. It can be tiring on the hands. Also, one recommendation - cut it longer than you will need it because i cut mine just right and it shrunk back over time so now there's a 1 in gap from end to end. I installed a short bit to cover up the gap but it still exposes two gaps on both its' sides.

Waste of money
When the plastic chainguard on my Dahon Vitesse D7HG broke, I looked for an identical replacement. I couldn't find one, but saw that this year's model has a BioLogic chainguard, so I ordered one as an experiment. It was a messy, painful job to put on. Once installed, it made an irritating buzzing noise as the chain went around and had a tendency to come off, so I removed it at once. Complete waste of money.

Good idea but...fitting is a nightmare.
This would probably be great if I could actually fit it...but I can't. The plastic is too inflexible to pull apart enough to get over the chain. I managed to get about 6 inches on but I'd pretty much destroyed the length I'd managed to fit and destroy my fingers to the point of not being able to carry on. I read and re-read the instructions to make sure I was doing it correctly...I was. I tried to use various tools to separate the tube to get it over the chain...Nothing I had available worked. I think there is probably a trick to fitting this, but I couldn't figure it out and I'm usually pretty handy. Remenants thrown in the bin in a fit of dejection. This needs to be supplied with some sort of fitting tool.
