This generator it's great , it arrive earlier than expected and was ready to go. It even came with a quart of oil explanation! It runs on gasoline or propane. I tried it on propane so I wouldn't have to worry about storing the gasoline. It cranked up after only two cranks. Then I tried the electric start with the same result, started right away. This unit comes with a built-in frame and handle so you can move it around easily. All I had to do was stick the wheels on the back of it. And I think I'm one of the first people that may have purchased this and am so impressed this unit. This unit is the least expensive and what I've seen with gas and propane and electric start. It's at least half of what the closest other models. It runs about 10 hours on a 20 pound propane tank or a full tank of gasoline. I had two refrigerators a freezer and a fan connected to it with no problem. I have not tried more than that but I'm sure it will handle a heavier load. I think it's a 30 amp so I think I could add a microwave to that. I recommend this to anyone for emergencies at hurricanes. I love it. PS, I don't lonely right these reviews but I felt this was such a cool purchase that it might help some of you guys and girls out there looking for one that's at a good price and easy to operate

Affordable 240v LPG Genset
I've been looking for a little "whole home" standby genset. I had 3 main requirements; 240v L15-30R , atleast 4000 watts, and LPG powered. I'm sad this wasn't closer to the top of my searches. In fact, I found it on E**y first, then took the part number to amazon and found it here for the same price with Prime shipping. It was packed OK with a steel top support and side foam to keep things from falling out even though UPS put a hole or 2 in the packaging. To agree with others, my biggest gripe would be the oil fill/check location. I've dealt with several different brands of generators and this is a very common issue without a long skinny funnel. My other gripe about this particular unit is the choke lever design. It's no terrible but it's also not secured in any way so I'm always having to fuss with it.From a functionality standpoint, this little guy did everything I needed and as expected. It's a simple process to get it going.1: remove the genset from the box it shipped in. My puppy helped me out by eating the corners of the box so this was relatively easy for me.2: Find the missing parts that previously mentioned puppy ran off with. The unit comes with a wheel kit (2 wheels, 2 axles, 2 axle washers and 2 axle pins), handle kit, oil, 2 keys, battery, LPG regulator and hose, & 2 front rubber feet (puppies like to eat these)3: Put parts in their respective places and assemble4: Fill with oil using your long skinny funnel or some other force that can move fluids through the air horizontally and precisely5: Connect the battery, you MIGHT have to take off a wheel to do this but I didn't6: Connect the LPG hose to Genset and LPG tank (sorry Barbeque)7: Move fuel selector the LPG and turn on the propane tank8: Move choke lever to closed/start8: Insert key, turn to run, crank until it pops. release and turn again. It takes about 20 seconds and several rotations to get the propane flowing through the carb.9: Move choke to open/run, or almost slightly there if the engine is hunting for a smooth speedMy unit puts out 242 volts which is what I need to connect to my transfer switch. while 5000 watts is not enough for a large home with a/c units running, it DOES run my fridge and freezer along with the swamp cooler and other things (like lights) just as if power was normal. From a noise perspective, it's no Honda Inverter BUT it's also not bad at (I think) 68db. It'll have a sound insulated spot in a ventilated outdoor shed so that will be even less of an annoyance. For the price, it'll do exactly what it was bought for, provide emergency power to the entire house without having to mess with gasoline going bad every 3 days and ruining the fuel system. I have no intentions of EVER putting a drop of gas in this thing unless of course the machines take over and that's the only fuel left, but I digress.

It would have been 4 stars but...
The generator arrived in a timely manner but the box was damaged (presumably by UPS). As a result the air filter was smashed and needs to be replaced. However I don't know who to contact to get a replacement cover.Pros: the choice of propane over gasoline is a plus as, as a standby generator the unit might be used only 1-2 times a year and propane doesn't go bad (gel) after long-term storage as gasoline can (and Sta-Bil only lasts 2 years).Starts easily and quickly.Seems (mostly) well designed and easy to use.Decent price.Cons:The biggest con is the ridiculous location of the oil fill It requires a flexible funnel as a standard funnel will not work nor can you pour oil right from the bottle which caused quite a mess. I don't see a need to redesign the whole unit. Just extend the oil fill and put in a longer dipstick. The pull handle should face the front of the unit, not the rear. It's fairly loud. No more than a lawnmower, but that's pretty loud too.The foam inner packing should be on all 4 sides and not just the front for the control panel.Aside from that it seems to be a good, solid unit for a good price. I hope it lasts a long time.Edit: 12/18/18: The air filter assembly was broken, I believe in transit. I was offered two options. Return the unit (at 125lb I'm not doing that as it works well otherwise and who knows what the replacement will look like), or take money off the price for a new air cleaner unit. I'll take the latter option but I must keep the rating as is because this will greatly inconvenience me to put on a new unit in in the winter, in an unheated shed.

Customer Service/Quality Products
I purchased one in Dec 2018, damaged in shipment, called customer service and it was replaced immediately. Operated perfect using propane. Went to use in Oct, wouldn't start, called customer service and they immediately sent me a new one, no questions asked. One full year replacement warranty, you can't beat it and their representative was the best. I highly recommend them.Tim York
