Update 12-01-19: I pretty much gave up on this device for awhile, and then one day read the responses to my review. Unbeknownst to me, the manufacturer had offered to replace the switch in their review response (but did not contact me directly). I took them up on their offer and the replacement switch with remote have been working reliability for a couple of weeks.This device did not exist a year ago. My wife occasionally leaves the closet light on when I am sleeping, and I was looking for a remote operated light switch (I am handicapped, not lazy....well both actually). Since I could not find a remote operated switch I settled on a timer, but the largest button was a constant "on" switch so that did not work.I installed the Livolo switch but had trouble with the face plate. Operation was intermittent. The capacitance switch would occasionally work with my thumb, but not my wife's smaller one. The switch worked when I held her thumb, but then would not work with my thumb at all. I tried to readjust the faceplate numerous times to no avail. I solved the problem by replacing the faceplate with a much thinner screw-on blank plastic plate that I had on hand. Now the proximity switch works with my thumb 1/8" away from contact. The blue light is no longer visible, but with the switch so easily accessible we do not care. My wife also believes that the blank plate fits our decor better.Update: The original transmitter would not hold it's program memory more than one or two days. I even programmed all four buttons to the same light switch and none of the button memories held (the batteries were new and tested fine). The replacement transmitter would not program at all.

This product works after you jump trough all the hoops. Its not easy. The way the glass plate attaches to the plastic base is extremely difficult to snap in. If on a solid tabletop no problem but once it is mounted on the wall with no support behind it you have to really mess around with it to get it to kinda work. they need to come up with a trim ring because it has a gap between wall and glass plate, does not look very good from the side. Did not come with remote battery and that was a total pain. The instructions do not tell you how to open the remote and the instructions do not tell you battery size. Be sure to buy 27A 12v battery (the 23a 12v diameter is too large). Instructions were very poor.

Ok, I don’t know what all of the fuss is about these being difficult to install. It’s two wires!! In from source, out to the lights, bingo! Simple and elegant! The remote pairs easily too! I am really loving the look and function of these switches. Will have to add more of these.

Beautiful glass plate with a faint glowing circle for each switch (I bought a pair of two gang, two-way switches). Unlike standard two-way switches where a switch can be in the off position when on, or on position when off, these switches glow blue (off) or red (on) at both ends of the line.Switches fit in a standard electrical box. Wires connect easily and switchplate snaps on firmly. Switches might seem a bit glichy (touch them and nothing happens) but they just take some getting used to.Two technical things (might only apply to two-way switches): if the switch isnt working, you might need to synchronize the switches (press one button until it chirps) or reset the switches (shut off the power source for a minute).Spendy but very pleased with these!

Works for a little bit then fails, I have more than 40 of these in my house and have to change them all the time. I'm done and will change them all to a different kind

Easy to install switches, must have the aptitude for electrical work. If you are unsure how to install this switch, use a qualified electrician. I am qualified in fitting these switches, it is not hard if you have a good familiarity with home electric wiring. Electricity from the mains is dangerous, it can kill, seriously injure and cause fires if fitted incorrectly. That being said, the switches come with fitting instructions although the English gramma is not that good, they are clear enough to follow. Overall easy to fit, performs well, I have mine all voice and SMART phone controlled.

Sleek and stylish, a bit complicated to install. Had to have the professional electrician do it. He had never seen one so it took him a while to install it. I still cannot get the remote control to work with the light despite following the instructions to the letter. Having a remote was the ONLY reason I bought this item. I wanted a remote-controlled light switch for the movie room so that we could easily turn on and off the lights from the comfort of our seats.Help????

First off, note that it does seem to work well... and the range is quite good.However, I did not notice that it does NOT come with the battery for the remote.NOBODY really wants to buy an item with a remote that does NOT include the battery.Much worse than not including a battery... the battery is a not a common battery (smaller than an AAA... not a good old CR2032 nor a 2016).An oh, it gets even worse... nowhere, like the instructions, or on/in the remote, or on Amazon, or on the Livolo website... does it indicate what battery type is required! After a very long search, I found this from the Aliexpress website: "Battery: Require 27A/12V (Not included)" (and is often say $3-$7).Finally, note that standard solid wires (14 AWG) leave its connector screws sticking out ! ... such that the HOT (screw heads) WILL touch the side walls of a switch box... mine are metal... so be sure to add some sort of (non-flammable) extra insulation to prevent shorts or shocks.

本体と電池同時に注文しましたが、到着先に本体本体取り付けても、電池がリモコンにセットされて無い為、リモコン、テスト出来ず買い足しに走る不便。いままでとのスッチと違い軽いタッチで点灯　消灯します　便利プレート取り外すのにマイナスドライバーを隙間に差し込んでこじ開けるが、固いし、元にはめ込むのにプレートの４か所の爪本体のスイッチの穴に合わせて、はめ込むのに、やや難儀する毎回動作するリレーの耐用年数はいかに？故障の事、考えて元の古いスイッチは保存して置くように一般のスイッチの方が耐用年数から見ますと今までのスイッチのほうが、維持費リモコンの電池代もかからず無難かも？電池消耗２年目でも電池持っているが後何年持つか？利点はリモコンでスイチ　オンオフの機能が便利なだけ回路(例　電灯二か所　廊下Aと部屋B｝Aボタン　オンオフＢも同様　ＤボタンでＡＢ回路　同時にオフに、

取り付けてすぐのレビューです。まず今までオンオフをスイッチのある場所まで行っていたのが行かずにすむと言うだけでとても快適になりました！！取り付けは今までのスイッチの所を交換で全く問題なく取り付け交換出来ました。使用時は初めはリモコンに登録が必要です！登録するのが少し戸惑いましたが…わかれば簡単です、まず本体の設定したいスイッチを長押しでピッと音がしたら離してリモコンの割り当てたい所(例としてA)を短く押すとピッと音がしますこれで完了です、他のボタンも割り当てたい時は同じように繰り返すだけです。リモコンの電池は付いてません、電池はアマゾンに売っている5本セット 27A 12Vアルカリ電池【A27、G27A、PG27A、MN27、CA22、L828、EL812、L27A互換 】を購入で問題なく使用出来ました。オンオフはプレートに触れるだけで出来ます、ただ入切ごとにカチカチッと音がするのが残念です(少し安っぽいです)。あと切の状態の時は青く、入の状態の時は赤く光るのですが暗くてわかりにくいです…。カチカチの音ともう少し明るく光れば文句なしです！！トータルで満足なのでまた購入したいと思いました。

標準がコスモって？何で独占企業？誰がデザインしたらあんなにダサいスイッチが作れるのか？ずっと疑問でした。ガラスのタッチパネル、リモコンとおしゃれで先進的なのに、VVFをジョイントじゃなくて、ネジで留めるのと、カッチン動作音が古臭い、新旧混在の中国っぽい商品てすね。メーカーの資料をアリで見ましたが、取り付けもパナ互換なので、知識と経験があれば既存のスイッチと全部リプレイスできます。知識も免許もない人がやるべき作業じゃありません。デザイン的にコスモはダサすぎて有り得ないと、とわざわざオレンジのホタルに全部統一していたのですが、これに統一しようかと思います。

追加配線無しで使えるのはいいですデザインもいいですねスマートスピーカーに対応してたらもっとよかったのに残念
