25 Blood Ketone Test Strips for the On call Ketone meter monitor

I'm following a ketogenic diet (high fat, low carb, moderate protein), and these test strips are essential. Measuring blood ketones is far more accurate than the urine strips -- in fact, the urine strips won't work at all once you're keto adapted. I first bought the blood test kit mainly out of curiosity, and to confirm that my hard work was effective, but now, longer-term, it's useful beyond fulfilling my curiosity. This test helps me determine what foods are acceptable for me to remain in ketosis, and it also keeps me in check when fasting: because my ketone levels tend to be high, they must be monitored to avoid going beyond 7.0. Thanks to testing I can now happily indulge in sweet potato fries, a food I used to think would knock me out of ketosis! It's worth knowing that these strips require more blood than a glucose test. You need a nice fat drop for a successful reading (I wasted a few test strips because I didn't use enough blood when first testing, and had to prick twice!). In addition to these strips you also need the On Call duel blood monitor, a lancing device, and lancets. The price of these strips is very good. In America they cost about $3 each, so I feel lucky they're available for less over here!

This is my second blood ketone monitor the other was from the U.S. and supposedly the best... This requires less blood and out of 25 strips not one error. My last monitor had errors 20% of the time. As far as accuracy I use this for a ketogenic healing diet in combination with a glucometer. I can see it is pretty accurate based on my glucose readings, how I feel, and what I ate In a 12 hour window prior to the test. I was hospitalized 10 days and the hospital ketone tests were on par with the meter. I have used this two months the first month testing am/pm and the second month am only. Now that I understand my bodies responses with the use of this meter I feel I can eventually taper down to two tests a week for maintenence. Really good investment.

It is still the most accurate way of checking ketones. Rule of thumb or finger, requires twice as much blood compared to glucose test. Cost is always a problem.

Seem to do what you want but I have wasted a few with error messages, partly my own fault with a few with blood applied too early

These strips come at a competitive price. They are easy to use, need very small blood sample and give quick results, about 10 seconds. Well packaged in strong sealed tub. They come with lots of advice and instructions which is very useful.

This batch must be faulty as i have had 2 lots befoe and know how to use them .out of 50 strips i ony wasted 1 ..These strips keep saying error 5 .I squeeze sufficient blood for my test ,but it doesnt seem to run down into the ridge on the test strip like prev batches i have bought.wanted to get in touch with company instead of putting it on here but couldn't se anywere to message them on my order .I will not e bjying anymore from this company unless they send me some more .

Bekanntlicherweise verdienen die Firmen an den Messstäbchen und weniger an den Geräten. Hier hält es sich im Vergleich zu anderen noch halbwegs im Rahmen. Die Folgekosten sind es, an die die meisten nicht denken - aber, wenn man täglich Blutwerte testet/testen muss, dann kommen im Jahr 365 Messstäbchen zusammen. Bei vielen Herstellern sind dann pro Packung nur 10 Stück enthalten, zu einem Preis, bei dem es bei OnCall 25 Stäbchen gibt. Den Rest kann sich jeder selbst ausrechnen. Für mich war genau das das entscheidende Kaufkriterium, auch wenn ich den Preis trotzdem für recht hoch halte (manchmal sind sie günstiger - dann kaufe ich auf Vorrat).

Good product but there are’nt any test strips for blood sugar avaliable, only blood ketones. So why sell a product wich mesures both?

Jag beställde två varor: ketomätare och testremor, till slut fick bara ketomätare. Men det står att levereras två saker, så besviken, aldrig ska köpa här!! Finns inte kundtjänst heller. Kan inte skriva mail, inte ringa, vilken bluf sida😡
