Beware imitations!
Obviously overpriced, but also essential. Gives your headphones a new lease of life- you'll be surprised how you didn't notice how woolly the bass had become as the pads compressed. Everything is so much snappier with boxfresh new pads.Yes, they cost too much, but don't bother with third party clones. From experience, they're never as good. Grit your teeth and pay for the real thing. Even at this silly price, totally worth it.

Price
Bought these to replace my shredded earpads on HD600. Headphones themselves have been amazing; after 20 years and a few cable changes still sound as good as ever. Look silly but can't see my own top of head. Earpads badly worn after thousands of hours and I had always avoided replacing them because of the outlandish cost. Finally bit the bullet as I was starting to feel sorry for the ones that were on there, and paid my money. Easy to get the old ones off (just pull a bit and then a bit more at another bit), the put the new ones on. At first they kept falling back off and it takes quite a bit of pressure to get them to click in. Watch you don't apply pressure to the back of the headphone as you do this otherwise you'll stove in the mesh. Headphones are better fitting now, improving the bass and overall comfort compared to the battered earpads they replaced. The price is a joke for a bit of foam and tuppence worth of plastic, but compared to the price of new headphones, a price you have to pay.

Simple to replace and just like the original
These are just like the original earpads on our HD600 headphones which saw great use over 15+ years (until the foam disintegrated). Hopefully these will last longer than the original pads! As anyone who trusts their own ears (vs marketers) knows - these are great headphones and in my opinion, one of the best ways to get audiophile quality sound on a budget (versus paying thousands for similar quality sound in big box speakers)! The earpads were quite simple to replace. After you gently pull off and dispose of the old pads and ensure no old foam particles are left in the speakers, put the flat foam disk in place first and then gently press the earpad into the groove (over the flat foam disk) until it snaps into place. Then press gently all they way around the groove to ensure it is fully snapped into place. It's that simple! The earpads hold the flat foam in place. It would be great if Sennheiser would sell these for less money - but they do the job and are much cheaper than a new set of headphones if a new set isn't necessary.

Expensive, yes. But the only real choice.
I adore the HD600. Anyone who owns them will tell you how neutral, tambre and what a fantastic treble extension they have. As I love them, and listen to a LOT of music, my pads flatten rather quickly. I get about 3-4 months of usage out of them, at maybe an average of 90 hours a month. That is probably about 400 hours before I replace. In this time, they flatten to perhaps half of their thickness (likely not helped by my thick plastic glasses pushing on them). While it is true you won't notice much of a degradation in sound due to it being subtle over time, what I can say is that you WILL notice it after replacing. The low end becomes much less wooly, and more punchy. And the highs are more airy. Now granted, I am probably more picky than most and a real audiophile, but at moderate to heavy usage, I really can't see how people last over year without replacing. They absolutely lose a deal of sound quality, and comfort. The price? Frankly, it's a joke. And is commonly referred to as the 'Sennhesier tax' by audiophiles. The HD600 are VERY good value for their sound quality, but once you factor in two or three sets of pads a year to get the most of them, you are looking at well over £1500 for ten years use. I wish there was a company out there that would do a 1:1 copy of these at a good price (likely easy to do, and cost of materials is £5 at most) but as of yet, there's no good alternative and anyone serious about audio will tell you to not touch third party pads with a bargepole.Yes, they're a ripoff. But they will restore your beloved HD600's and are the only real option.

Easy to fit and comfortable
Replaced my HD600 earpads as the old ones were wearing and the internal foam cover disintegrated. The set comes with the cover and are ridiculously easy to fit. Slightly firmer than the old ones but I suspect that is due to the older ones becoming softer with age. Now as good as new!
