So very close to being a great gamepad.
For a 3rd party controller it isn't bad, better than most, but not as good as the Microsoft Xbox One controller.Firstly, the initial feel suggests it is solidly built, well constructed and shouldn't break when the action heats up.In the hands it's a good size, neither too big or small. The plastic case feels a little slippy/glossy compared to a more of a matt finished with MS's official controller. The dual sticks have a nice free movement to them, quite springy and well placed so your thumbs aren't having to stretch out. The buttons also feel good as does the D-pad which is great. There is a lot more movement with the bumpers, quite a bit more than the official pad. They feel solid and work perfectly fine though. The triggers.. ah the triggers. The triggers have a lot of resistance, but not much travel and for me, the biggest letdown of this gamepad. They feel too stiff for both FPS and racing games. I just couldn't get on with them.I haven't really used the alternative buttons on the rear of the pad, but they feel nice enough. In conclusion, this pad does feel like a quality product expected from a company like Hori. If the triggers had a little more travel and weren't so stiff it would have been a real peach and a great alternative to people unwilling to fork out for the Elite controller.

GET THIS INSTEAD OF MS PRODUCT
This version is PRO, Comes with 3.5mm socket and 4 extra programmable buttons underneath. A robust and great alternative to the poor official controller. Wired no worries about batteries. Strong analog sticks and the triggers are good. I always check LB and RB too, as that is where Microsofts product is flawed. I already had the Horipad for beatemups as a second controller but it had no headphone socket. The Pro version is good and works with my headset.

Not a bad aftermarket option
I enjoyed using this pad. Well put together and all the controls felt very positive. The fact its wired may bother some but I didn't see it as a problem. The 4 buttons on the underside of the controller that can be programmed on the fly are very good and a handy option. One observation, the plastic is quite slick and offers little in the way of grip if your hands get slippy.

Well worth the price tag
Worth it as a cheaper alternative to the official xbox controller, however odd shape and (personally) uncomfortable sticks make this controller unsuitable for long term play, or as a primary use controller. However for the price, it is more than adequate with the back buttons being a nice addition to add to the value of the controlled

Nice but seems to have a weakness in right stick
I really liked the way this controller feels in my hands and looks, but I've had two now that both quickly developed faults in the right stick and had to be returned, so I won't be trying a third. The first stopped moving properly within two weeks, the second/replacement within six weeks.

The buttons on the back are difficult to use but still a great controller.
I've dropped it off my desk countless times and it still works. The d-pad feels a lot better than the one on the standard Xbox 360 pad. Great controller that still works like new despite heavy use - I recommend it.

Great product, great value.
I purchased this for my pc as my Xbox 360 controller had finally given up and I wasn't prepared to spend 40-50 pounds on a new wireless Xbox one controller to replace it, this was compounded by the thoughts of constant battery changes which ultimately costs money. This controller has a great quality feel and works perfectly, it was a seamless install as it uses the official Microsoft drivers.

Three Stars
Not bad, feels a bit clunky. For the price better off just going for an Xbox or PS pad
