Sulky stabilizer, Paper, White, 8.5" x 11" 12-Pack

Was trying to work out how on earth I got a design onto the material to then embroider (I’m a beginner), this stuff is amazing! Sticks on, washes away once your design is finished. Does to take a while to arrive from the US though so expect in a month not a few days.

This stabiliser comes in a pack of 11 sheets, not 12 as stated on the packet. Also the sheets are not A4 size, they are slightly smaller. A4 = 8.27 ins X11.69ins (210mm X 297mm) whereas this stabiliser is 8ins X 11ins (203mm X 280mm). Only a tiny amount I know, but it can make a difference if you are printing a pattern that fills an A4 sheet. Some adjustments have to be made to your printer. It is getting increasingly difficult to get this in the UK (dare I say since Brexit), so I was very glad to find it from this seller, and it has increased in price considerably since I first started using it 5 years ago, but it is worth it. I'm a big fan and don't know how I'd manage without it.

This was very easy to print on - you just need to make sure that you change the paper size before creating the document with images that you wish to print. I printed multiple small patterns on each sheet so far and have cut them out with no issue. The ink did not bleed, although I did change the transparency to either 50% or 20% - any more than that and the images become almost invisible. It washed off very easily under warm water. If creating a hoop with lots of detail (lots of satin stitch), I would suggest using a plastic hoop, rinsing the stabiliser off whilst in the hoop and allow it to dry in the hoop. I tried rinsing after taking my embroidery out of the hoop and the material warped and I couldn't get it back to shape with the tight satin stitch. Otherwise, this has been excellent for transferring intricate designs onto my material. A lightbox and a heat erase pen were not good enough at times.

Lovely product very easy to use and very helpful when using complicated designs for embroidery. Only issue I had was that after I washed the paper off, it made the fabric and thread a little stiff and lost the nice texture. Other than that is definitely what I was looking for.

Excellent item. I used dozens when i was sewing little figures out of felt wool.

I have recently started trying a lot of new craft projects being on furlough. I had no idea how this soluble paper would work for hand embroidery. I tried tracing a design and printing a design on the paper and both methods worked really well. The paper stays put and is substantial while you work on it and easily dissolves completely away once the embroidery is finished. I did find with my first project, the leopard on the back of a thin cotton jacket, that the material pulled a bit around the outside of the design but this was due to my stitches. The only limit of use to this product is your imagination, it’s brilliant fun!

I ordered this stabiliser from the US and only had to wait two weeks for delivery, 10 days earlier than I expected. Easy to print on and currently stitching embroidery on it so have not washed it yet to see how water soluble it is.

Nearly didn't purchase as the picture is of the heavy weight stabilizer, and I prefer medium weight for embroidery. I ordered anyway, as I'm working on Christmas gifts and need it now. Medium weight is what arrived. Happy days. This goes easily through my printer, as it's about the weight of card stock. It washes away quite easily, even when it's stitched over, with no need for the agitation suggested per package directions. Use warm water and let it soak until the bits of stabilizer have come away and floated to the top of the water. Couldn't be easier.

刺繍したいけど図案を写すのがめんどくさい！いくら気をつけても手書きだと図案が若干左右非対称になるのが嫌！と思ってずっと良い図案写しのシートがないか探してました。 ①水で溶ける ②シールみたいに貼り付けられる ③プリンターで使える この3つの条件に当てはまるのがこの商品しかなく、海外の製品だったこともあって一か八かで買ってみたのですが、とても使いやすくてよかったです。 まずちゃんと水に溶けます。たまに少し溶け残りができますが手で軽くじゃぶじゃぶやれば簡単に取れます。溶けてる間はぬるぬる感がするのでそれがなくなったのを目安に引き上げればOKです。汗とかで溶けることもあるのかな？と思ったのですが、今のところそういうことは起きてないです。ペーパーじゃなくて不織布っぽい素材なので針通りもいいです。たまにちょっとだけ針がぺたぺたして糊がついてるような感じになりますが、針通りが重くなるようなことはありませんでした。特に気にならないので拭いたりはしていませんが、気になる人はその都度軽く拭く程度でもいいんじゃないでしょうか。 シールみたいに貼り付けられるのもよかったです。他の水溶性シートはまち針で留めたりアイロンを使ったりする必要があってめんどくさそうでしたが、これは本当に普通のシールみたいにペロッと剥がしてくっつけられるのですごい便利でした。ちょっと位置間違えたな、とか思ってもすぐに剥がして貼り直せます。流石に５回くらい貼り付け直したら接着は若干弱くなりましたが、それでも最後までちゃんと貼り付いてくれて綺麗に刺繍できました。 そして個人的にはプリンター使用可能なのが一番最高でした。当たり前ですが機械がやってくれるのでデータさえ送れば綺麗な図案付きシートが爆速で完成します。今まで手書きで必死に図案を描いてたのがなんだったのかと思うレベルです。刺繍がしたいのに図案を描くのがめんどくさくて二の足踏むということがなくなって本当にありがたい……値段が高い分、A4用紙ぐらいのサイズいっぱいプリントできるし枚数も多いからもし失敗しても平気！ってところもお気に入りポイントです。(画像はA4用紙との比較です。左がA4用紙で右が刺繍シートです) あと、おそらくですがシールみたいに貼り付けられるタイプでプリンターが使えるシートって現状これだけな気がします。ダイソーの刺繍シートやスマプリも前はプリンター使用可能となっていたそうですが、ブログやレビューを見ると結構プリンターが故障したと言っている人も多かったので、これが一番安全にプリンターで使えるシートなんじゃないかな？と個人的に思います。 最後に余談ですが、この商品って海外製だからなのか頻繁に小刻みな値段変更をしているようです。大体2800~3200円あたりを推移しているみたいなので、お得に買いたい時は2800~2900円を狙うとちょっとはお得に買えるかな？と思います。(私は2,878円の時に買ってました！) 刺繍したいけど図案写しがめんどくさくてなかなか気が進まない人に超おすすめします！
