TurboCAD Deluxe 2016 (PC DVD)

Turbocad Delux 2D/3D 2016The first thing you notice is just how 'out of date' this product is. That's not a criticism, its a statement. However, if you're in need of a more advanced software package then reach for your wallet and go buy it. At £30 this is both affordable and very capable for the average user. Why buy when there are free downloads on the internet? Well, they're not free for long and once your trial period has expired uninstalling and reinstalling won't be allowed. You can try some of the hacked versions but by the time you come to inserting the key freely available on the web the manufacturer has closed that one off so it won't work.So, how good is it? Answer, what do you want it to do for you? I use it for designing woodwork, furniture, circuit boards and just for passing a bit of time. Its also very good for planning room layouts without having to move all the bloody furniture so you don't have to say to your partner 'See! I told you it wouldn't fit.'Is it easy to use? Answer, see above. On the CD there is set of basic tutorials for each aspect of drawing. They are backed up by Quick Time videos. Sounds impressive? Well, they're not. Its very specialised language makes it difficult to ask the right question in the first place. The videos are without sound so its impossible to see what icons are clicked to get the desired result. Its a reference for an advanced user to refresh their memory. Beginners, you and me, are out of our depth in seconds.All isnt lost. You Tube to the rescue! A very nice gentleman called Paul Tracey has done a set of videos which take you, step by stem, through the basics. He isn't in love with the sound of his own voice and makes no assumptions of your experience nor doesn't rush through. I learned more from watching the three videos I needed to start my project in around 45 minutes. I''ve found 73 Turbocad videos by him so I'd expect the majority of your future problems with the software might well have solutions ready for you.Its a good product and it works well. Buying it gets you a legitimate licence which means you can move this from one computer to another as you replace them over time.

When I start up TurboCAD it asks for an activation code to work beyond 30 days.When I click the “Get Code Online” option another dialogue box comes up.When I click on “Online Activation Request Form” nothing happens.I go back to the previous box and select “Get Code by Telephone” and a phone number in the USA appears. I am not phoning that number.What can I do? TurboCAD Deluxe 2016 (PC DVD) I have since contacted IMSI by email and they sent me an activation code and it is working now.

I bought this product because it seemed to offer some good features at a reasonable price, and other programs are either vastly overpriced or inferior.However, having installed the software, a major issue (for me) has raised it's ugly head. The training manual is in PDF form but won't print from any program I have (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).It's not viable to keep swapping from one screen to another whilst trying to learn what is quite a complicated system.I tried 'support' but apparently this does not exist.So overall it's difficult to use and I would not recommend it.

I,ve used Turbocad before and this was to upgrade my old version from 8 yrs ago. You would need to be familiar with drawing packages to use it well first off. Otherwise like every thing else you need to take time to learn and practice with it. I like it, its a good budget package , but not the latest one.

I have order this TurboCad Deluxe because i have the same software in my Mac computer and works well but this is not the same, is totally different and was not doing my job so i have replace it with QCAD with the same amount of money and that works excellent. I do not recommend it to anybody especially for mechanical drawings or inventions.

Got to grips with this in a few days. Superb value. I bought this for furniture making and boat fitting. Enables a detailed 2D/3D model to be created very quickly and in enough detail to create a cutting list.

I was going to purchase the latest version but it was much more expensive. This slightly older version fits my needs perfectly

I have found it hard to get my head round using the program not sure if it will meat my needs
