Superior sundome a breeze to put up and take down.
Fantastic! Well done Coleman! This was our third sun dome purchase in 3 years and it is far superior to the cheaper models. It's got our vote! The less expensive models were good in theory but physically challenging to get the poles in place and directions were slightly lacking on which pole goes over or under. Looking back it would have been easier to bring a parasol. As this is only our third season as campers we were reluctant to go all the way for the best and biggest. Our first dome had a rod snap and caught on the fabric guide. Our second dome (same model as the manual but diff brand and less than £8 was too difficult to put together in the wind on the beach. Just when we thought we had it we lost three tent pegs in the sand and gave up. Perhaps that was a separate issue but when no energy is needed to put the tent up all focus can go to staking it)Not only is this a true instant tent but the design is an improvement over the manual models. It was not only 2 minutes to put up but it was very quick to take down. I did make a point of studying how it was folded up before putting it up so my confidence was higher. The dome works essentially the same as the instant tent which we had a few challenges folding up after taking it down. But with the smaller size of this dome the methods were more apparent so I think we've solved the tent fold up questions as well! (Elbows snap inside out making it easier to fold up) 2 minutes up, 4 minutes down and this included time to take photos.Pick this one!

I only gave this 4 stars because when it arrived one of the arms was folded the wrong way and the tent couldn't be erected. A previous Amazon customer had had the same problem, and I have seen other reviews expressing the same issue! However, rather than return the item, I realised that the foot at the end of the 'faulty' arm could be taken off easily, and the arm could be folded the correct way. I removed the foot, readjusted the arm, replaced the foot (you only need a philips screwdriver and about 5 mins of your time) and then erected the tent with no difficulty. Whilst this wasn't an issue for me I can understand that it might be for others, and the inconvenience or returning/replacing/refunding could be annoying. Perhaps a little more care with checking the product before being sent out to the purchaser wouldn't go amiss! This apart - the tent is easy to erect, and spacious enough for two adults. Not been used on the beach yet...... But no real problems foreseen! Definitely suggest a dry run at home before taking out for the day..... But would definitely recommend the product when in working order.

This does cut the mustard...
This was £40 when I purchased it and I think it's good value. More robust and slightly larger than other cheaper ones that a few friends have. There is a knack to erecting the thing but once you have it the process is pretty quick.Although I haven't been in any terrible weather with it the build quality gives me a good level of confidence that it will stand up well. In particular it has good external pockets which you can shovel sand/stones into and also includes a few decent sized pegs to anchor the item on grass.Inside it feels spacious and would comfortably fit three adults. I mainly bought it to offer sun protection for our baby and in that role it excelled - it's so much more practical than having a parasol for example. The only slight negative (and not really a fault of the product) is that it can get a bit warm sat inside (like any tent in the sun would). Just take note of the wind direction when you are pitching it and take advantage of any through breeze if you want to.

but in the end I figured it out and now it's very easy for me
That's a solid beach tent. Putting it up for the first time was quite complicated, but in the end I figured it out and now it's very easy for me.Packing it after use is also not very hard, and it's very compact for its size. The windows is rather big and the mesh pockets are very useful. The sand pockets are good, but I'd rather see them made of a sturdier fabric as it is sometimes much easier to fill them with rocks. Same goes for the floor piece - it doesn't look very durable.I took a star off for the above concerns and also for a small hole that I found in the dome of the tent near the central spoke. It is greatly disappointing that I already have to fix a GBP70+ tent without even having used it once (the hole is small, about 5 millimeters long, however it might get larger if not fixed now).

This beach shelter is all I wanted it to be.It is on the larger size for a beach shelter so room for 3 comfortably, it can also be zipped up for getting changed etc.Seemed a bit fiddly first couple of times to erect, but once you get the hang of it, it is ever so easy and quick. Slightly easier to erect with two people, as the wind can get hold of it.The build quality is excellent, and as it comes in one part, there are no bits to loose.Again, when yo have closed it down a couple of times, it is ever so quick to put away, and easily fits into the carrier without the need to be an expert at oregami (unlike some other models) please be careful when zipping up the bag though, as i am sure this could snag the fabric quite easily. In my opinion, this is the best beach shelter on the market, and although not the cheapest, worth every penny!
