Overheater
plug and play. it updated and streams a wireless 1080p camera 24/7 to a tv. brainless. Make you look like a hero. lol i think this is a great product as long as you dont get too picky about what it can do well. What i can tell you is that it streams a 1080p cam very well. I placed it in a retail environment. It is on 24/7 it works well. (and i am in the book under critical)Runs nougat 7.1. I ended up buying another to familiarize myself with the product. I like android alot and ive been into the OS since it came out. I use this t98 to play games and google app surf on a 4k tv. As for signal output, It will do UHD-1 but it looks upscaled. I have a Vizio M65 E0 and it will output 2160p but eh..seems terribly upscaled. I havent spent alot of time with it but there arent a whole lot of video settings in droid. What you would notice is that there are scaling options and up/down sampling. I attempted to line this in thru my Denon s720 and it didnt perform well. The receiver would constantly lose signal. So.. i ended up running it directly into the tv and i used the spdif to get sound back to the receiver. I didnt use the supplied hdmi cables as they were very short. I use this with a wireless usb logitech k400r keyboard. It works slick for this device. I will report back here later when i have spent more time with this item. Forget Netflix. Seems to overheat. downgraded after heavy use.

TV box for home entertainment system
I was setting up my home entertainment system with projector and I found this android TV box which was exactly the thing I needed. I feel like this is a great deal for an android TV box with HDMI cable included. I have been able to download any android apps into this TV box as well as cast videos from my phone to this device. I have a mini wireless keyboard connected to this device which makes navigation easier than remote. Setup is very very easy, just need to connect it to your TV/Projectors HDMI port. Great product!

This Android Box sucks
This is my second android box...Nexbox was my first. I should have just bought another Nexbox, because this T98 Pro is not as good. My biggest problem is the poor optimization of apps like YouTube. For example, the YouTube app is missing buttons...it doesn't have a scroll bar...scroll doesn't work with the arrows on the remote or the Bluetooth keyboard. Navigating inside apps is a frustrating process. The T98 Pro works fine. The remote sucks so bad I will never buy another one. A keyboard helps, but it doesn't make up for poor app optimization. Also, I doubt that thus is really Android 7.1. It lacks any customization features. The background is light blue and you can't change it. I absolutely hate it.

If you love to miss half of the show you will love this box
Wow this box and the concept is awesome but it has some serious glitches...it flickers every 15-30 seconds how can you enjoy something if you can’t enjoy it. I have started the return process for this item...wish it turned out different

The good news and bad news
Update: OK DONT BUY THESE BOXES!!!I’ve ordered at least 30 of these boxes and the last 20 have all frozen within 3-4 hours into using and have constantly been freezing afterwards. Something has changed with these boxes and it sucks because the 1st ones are still great with zero freezing. STAY AWAY unless the seller can explain why they freeze and fix them. Not worth even $20.Let’s start with the good news first. When this box is working it’s amazingly fast, loads apps very fast and plays like a champ! The bad news is, it’s too frequent that you get a faulty box and you either have flickering every few seconds or it’s just shuts off on you.

Get a wireless mouse and it's great.
Android TV is a great idea but most apps are not navigable via the remote. Get a wireless mouse (plug dongle into the USB port on the box, works instantly), and it's great. If you plan on doing a lot of searching by term or looking for lots of apps, you probably should get a wireless keyboard too.I bought this for my tech-clueless elderly mother-in-law. Set it up for her in her retirement home (free wifi there), now she's surfing all the free apps like Crackle and the various TV networks which always have a couple of free episodes even when you don't have a cable password. There are dozens of apps with free old-time movies that she loves. So far, great purchase!

setup Is quite simple
I have an old TV box which I am not able to upgrade most of my apps on that box because of the outdated android version. So I would like to get myself a new one. I came across this TV box because I saw some positive reviews. The TV box came fairly quick. The box has one HDMI, two USB, one microSD slots. The initial setup Is quite simple and intuitive. The TV box is a vanilla version with few applications, such as Google Play and Chrome, which is good. I don’t like too many bloatware pre-installed. So far so good. I will spend some time this weekend to explore more.

No Netflix App
I just assumed I would be able to install Netflix via Google Play Store, but no. It is not supported (the present version). It comes with Chrome browser installed, so Netflix works in the browser. Unfortunately, this is seemingly too much to ask of family members, who are spoiled by phones and the likes. Personally, I'm okay with this, just disappointed. I wish I would have read the reviews concerning this issue before purchasing, as I would have gone elsewhere. Other that that, updating was easy and fairly straightforward. Installing Kodi (the main reason I bought the device was for intranet streaming) was very easy. Pretty nice device if you can deal with the Netflix issue.Update: Changed to 4 stars as there are workarounds for said issue (if you do a bit of research).
