Country Values Greyhound Complete Dog Food, 15kg

I have had my retired greyhound to 8 months now, I have always brought wafcol ( not the cheapest) since we have had her as that was what she was fed in the kennels,but she always had runny stools and was very windy ( she could clear the room in seconds). I found it very difficult to pick up her runny stools especially in long grass. I then went on amazon ,read all the reviews for greyhound food and decided to try this one, the kibble is a lot smaller than what she was used to,( bit larger than 1cm) but she eats it no problem( I always mix water with her food along with either pilchards/ scrambled egg etc) , I have changed her food over gradually as I know they have sensitive stomachs so at the moment I am using 2/3 country value and 1/3 wafcol.I have used this now for about 3 weeks and have noticed a vast improvement in her stools and she is not so windy.i will definitely buy his from now on, it's a great price and like previous people have said don't be put off by he price ( I was a bit wary as it was one of the cheaper ones). But having it delivered as well is a bonus.One happy 2 year old greyhound and her owner.

My greyhounds have incredibly sensitive stomachs and cannot tolerate any of the more expensive foods which contain wheat, soya, corn or oats as it gives them terrible diarrhea. This food has none of those ingredients. It's low in protein and fat too, which is perfect for the dogs to keep their nice slender shape, yet retain muscle. Their coats are shiny and my pockets are fuller as I am no longer paying out a fortune for Vet's prescription diets as I have done in the past, or foods that claim to aid digestion (and don't) which cost 40-50 pounds a bag. People pay for high profile brand names and they do not always work. My dogs are proof of that. We shall be sticking to this food in the future and I would recommend it to anyone else who has a hound with delicate digestion or not as it is a very good food which contains everything your dog needs..

My 5 year old Greyhound only finished racing this year and is used to this type of food. She really loves it and is maintaining a healthy, lean body on 15oz per day (the feeding guide on the packet tells you how much to give, based on the dog's weight). With a few thin fur patches and a touch of dandruff from her life in kennels to deal with, I have begun adding 1 tablespoon of Hemp Seed Oil per day to the food, in order to supplement richer Omega oils. This is working quickly and effectively without causing any tummy problems, so would recommend you also drizzle hemp seed oil on along with a drop of warm water, to make the dry food more appetising; not that appetite has ever been a problem!Delivery was speedy and without any unnecessary packaging as the sack is quite sturdy.

I have a rescue german pointer and thought I would give this a go as he is not dissimilar to a greyhound in shape, and certainly does a lot of running.Ever since we have had him has had runny poos, no matter what food we give him. Even the really expensive brands made no difference. The vet gave him the all clear and suggested it was just nervous energy. But after a week on this, for the first time ever, I didn't need half a dozen bags each time he had a poo. Great!He seems to enjoy eating it, and so far, although it has only been a month, his skin and coat still look good too.

I worried that because this food is so cheap that it must be poor quality or bad for my lovely girl, but it's absolutely great. This is what they feed the dogs at the Greyhound Sanctuary - where I got her from - and they say it's fine.I tried her on a more expensive brand for a month, but i saw no difference in her appetite, coat, condition, etc. If anything it made her stools loose. She'll eat anything mind, so i don't think she's bothered by what you put in front of her. All I can say is she has a lovely temperament and lovely shiny coat, she's not hyperactive and the vet says she's in perfect condition.Would def recommend - don't be put off by how cheap it is.

Quite allright. My greyt was happy to eat that kibble, but the poo wasn't very firm afterwards. And it was huge! No winds though.It's good for that price, but it won't be my go to.

The main reason for choosing this feed is because it's the one used by our dog's breeder. Our Cairn Terrier (not a greyhound, but she is fast! 😃) thrives on it. Her coat is good, she looks forward to every meal and it suits her tummy. We had been a bit concerned about having to travel back to the breeder to pick up new bags of feed as we cant get it around where we live, so the service offered by Amazon is ideal and we shall use it from now on!

Only on second bag but seems to be going down well with my two greyhounds. The boys poos are a bit firmer than normal and their coats look a bit more shiny but that may be because of the time of year. Been dithering a while whether to change food to this and finally took the plunge and my pocket is glad I did as one bag should last nearly 3 weeks instead of the type before which was more expensive and only 12.5kg.
