This is a good size portable speaker - it's certainly not small and weighing in at 1.3 kg, it definitely isn't lightweight. It looks good in a matt black with control buttons on top.In use, the bass is undeniably excellent and it is definitely loud (whether it's loud enough for a garden party is debatable, though). However, the high and mid-range are very muddy and indistinct. I tried a variety of different types of music (George Ezra, Tchaikovsky, Frank Zappa, Status Quo, and more - through Spotify) and all suffered from the same issue with sound quality. I have quite a few other Bluetooth speakers, as well as a high-end stereo set up. Although this isn't the best BT speaker for sound, it is far from the worst and it's considerably cheaper than the best one.It does have two huge positives for me - firstly there is a very distinct separation between the left and right channels. My go-to track for testing stereo is Laguna Sunrise, and there was a very clear left/right delineation. Secondly, if you have more than one speaker they can be linked together - I haven't been able to test this, but assuming it works as well as the Bluetooth connection did (worked first time on my phone) then it shouldn't be a problem. For garden parties, this is an ideal solution - the volume of one speaker may not work for the whole garden, but a number of them linked together would be ideal. However, one thing I did notice is that the sound was considerably less compromised if the speaker was suspended in mid-air rather than placed on a surface...I don't mean it can levitate, but it does have a bulit-in hanging / carrying "handle" at one end.If you're not interested in high fidelity sound reproduction and intend to use this/these outside, as suggested by the seller, I would have no hesitation in recommending them, but if you are looking for good sound reproduction (well, as good as any digital sound source can be), then there are better, if considerably more expensive, options - at the price, this is probably the best I've heard but the mid and high-range are noticeably muddled.

£50 at time of reviewAs you can see from the photos this is quite sizeable and weighs 1.3Kg, portable yes, pocketable no. So with the added size you’d expect to get a lot of battery life, volume and bass, and yes you do. As a Vine reviewer I’ve been fortunate to review several speakers like these, so able to do some good comparisons. In general this fairs favourably, at 50W this is most powerful of the speakers I’ve reviewed, the others have been from 10-40W, and price wise this sits in the top mid price range.But how does it sound & how loud is it?Sound quality is OK, it’s not the clearest of the bunch, I found mid & high tones were a bit muffled. Bass isn’t bad, as it’s relatively large it has space to produce a pretty good bass sound, certainly plenty to fill a living room or bedroom… in the garden it’s good for background music, and fine in the summerhouse, but you won’t be using it for a big garden party. Turning up to 80% volume it’s still ok, at 100% things will start to distort, so 90% is your limit.Still out of all the portable speakers I’ve reviewed over the past year or so, one stood out surprisingly well, it’s 30W and originally cost £50, but it’s now £36, I compared it to this one, and while it doesn’t have the same level of bass, the overall sound was clearer, the top volume difference wasn’t really noticeable either (but as I said that one was a stand out speaker).IMHO if this was £40 I’d give it 5 stars, as build quality is excellent, it looks good and sounds pretty good too, and depending on the type of music / audio you listen too it could be perfect, and if you purchase several of them you can link them together, which too be fair makes them a great buy in that case as multi speaker set ups are generally very expensive (although as I only have one of them I’ve no idea how well that works, although saying that, the other speaker I used for comparison also does that!)Hope my review was helpful

So far, I am happy with the speakers. The built quality is great and feels premium. The design is modern. It was easy to operate and the connectivity was stable. Portable to easily carry around. Seems durable to last longer.Also very loud. The bass is good so listening to music is enjoyable. Due to Bluetooth, many different devices can be connected to it. Has support for SD card and AUX as well.Arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos.The price is slightly expensive in my opinion.Overall, I am happy to own it and will recommend.

Out of the box. the speakers build quality feels solid, and it comes with a sturdy carrying strap, which adds to its portability. Connecting was super easy and fast and the sound quality produces a rich and clear audio with good bass response.It’s not a speaker you can carry around in your pocket, more something you would chuck in a bag when heading to a park, beach or day out. It weighs 1.3kg and to give you an idea, a bag of sugar is 1kg. It does have a compact design and I like that its IPX7 rated meaning it will stay protected in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes, so would be perfect for outdoor adventures or beach trips.The buttons on the speaker are intuitive and super easy to use. It also has additional features like the ability to skip tracks, adjust volume, and even activate voice assistants like Alexa. You can also pair multiple speakers together to offer better sound and options.Battery life is excellent, I’ve been using our in our conservatory on a few weekends and it still has loads of battery left.The speaker is an excellent choice for anyone in looking for a portable and great-performing speaker.
